A Simple Neiman Marcus Mom
Hey, I cop to it. I also like Neiman Marcus. Barney’s too! Though I really like their outlet stores even more. That’s where I can buy their normally really, really, really expensive clothes at just simple expensive prices (You know, like, when the Italian cashmere Canali sweaters are reduced from $425 to a paltry $110).
There are times, I also confess, that I would have liked to have had a wad of $150,000 in my pockets on one of those Saturday afternoons so in one fell swoop I could pick up, say, a lifetime’s worth of Zegna and Armani suits (and a couple dozen pair, maybe, of Gucci loafers and maybe a bushel of Brioni ties).
But, alas, I’m not a hockey mom, a Wal-Mart mom, the Governor of Alaska. And, more or less like Joe the Plumber, I actually have to pay my own clothing bills. As much I’d like them to, the Republican National Committee won’t lend me their gold card (I guess they don’t believe in spreading the wealth). So I’m restricted to a very occasional Canali pullover or a Boss dinner jacket. Damn.
Even more bothersome, I have to schlep anything I buy from the rack to the trunk of my car all by myself. Pity me, I have no personal shopper. If I could pick one, however, I know who it would be.
How about Jeff Larson? He seems pretty good at it. Except, he’s already taken. When he’s not personally running the John McCain sleazeball robocall operation, he’s out buying panties and vests for…The Governor of Alaska.
Last night I was celebrating the coming conclusion of this election. Now, I have a few second thoughts. It hardly gets any better than this. What’s next? A makeup bill of $8,000?
Oops, already seen that.

Wait, this can’t be right. Isn’t Obama the elitist?
October 22nd, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Except for the CCM hockey sweater, most of my ward rope is of the Jeffery Lebowski ‘casuals’ line…
$150,000 bucks to go shopping with, hmm…
Let’s see $150,000 divided by $150 (avg. cost of a CCM sweater) equals 1,000. 30 NHL teams, each with 25 man rosters. 750 different sweaters. So, I could get a sweater of each dude in the NHL and still have $37,500 left to spend.

Wow. I could then go out and get a really cool rug for my apartment. Just to ‘tie the room together’…

Typical attitude of of an envy driven socialist like you Marc, cravenly using every occasion possible to frown on the success of others. From US Census data
http://tinyurl.com/6cgvtf
Among the race groups and Hispanics, black households had the lowest median income in 2007 ($33,916). This compares to the median of $54,920 for non-Hispanic white households. Asian households had the highest median income ($66,103). The median income for Hispanic households was $38,679.
Thus, the GOP has spent nearly 3 times the median income of non-Hispanic white households to gussy up the Alaskan Governor. But let’s be fair. There are 13 days left to go until the election. There’s still time for a Macy’s slurge. Maybe they’ll run the tab up another $100K and using the unique logic of McCain economics, will be able to claim that Obama will raise taxes on Sarah’s shopping!
You go girl!

Would love to see what Woody and GM have to say about this one…
Palin billed Alaska for kids’ travel
The Associated Press
October 22, 2008
Reported from Anchorage — Gov. Sarah Palin charged the state for her children to travel with her, including to events where they were not invited, and later amended expense reports to specify that they were on official business.
The charges included hotel and air travel costs for three daughters to join Palin to watch their father in a snowmobile race and a trip to New York, where the governor attended a five-hour conference and stayed with her 17-year-old daughter for five days and four nights in a luxury hotel.
In all, Palin has charged the state $21,012 for her three daughters’ 64 one-way and 12 round-trip commercial flights since she took office in December 2006.
Alaska law does not specifically address expenses for a governor’s children. The law allows for payment of expenses for anyone conducting official state business.
State Finance Director Kim Garnero said she had not reviewed the Palins’ travel expense forms, so she could not say whether the daughters’ travel with their mother would meet the definition of official business.

Wonder how much Tina Fey’s wardrobe costs?
Dunno, but those wardrobe mistresses are pretty good at ginning up knock-offs. And, we can be reasonably confident no RNC campaign dollars were killed in their production.
Among Al Qaida’s endorsement, the wardrobe malfunction, and Sarah’s extemporaneous remarks about the VP running the Senate, comes word that Chuck Todd, apparently, has candidly speculated that the wheels coming off the McCain campaign. If it weren’t for bad luck, Sarah and John would have no luck at all.

Celeste – you’re downright…uh…superficial. (OK – so are we all !)
October 22nd, 2008 at 8:32 pm
Marc – with all due respect, Palin does look better in her expensive duds than you do. Or I would. The political point here is that Palin is betraying those small town values – and budgets – of patriotic, America-loving Walmart shoppers. (Or are they “China-loving”, given the tags on Walmart’s clothes.)
For the record, I spend 99% of my waking hours in Wrangler jeans I buy at K-Mart for $16 a pop. My suits are from Men’s Wearhouse. Ross usually has great deals on nice shirts. (Don’t buy ‘em when you need ‘em. Buy ‘em when you find ‘em.) Macy’s has a good collection of “Cubavera” styles that are often on sale. For folks like me whose credit cards are currently used more for donations to the Obama campaign than fancy shopping, my Fashion Secret is that splurging on beautiful, relatively expensive ties is the key to making a modest “dress” wardrobe work. A great looking tie sets you apart and garners compliments on one’s “look” very effectively. That’s the only fashion advice I’m qualified to offer.

This is off topic, but Reg (and if someone posing as you posted this, I will retract this), but I take issue with a previous post on a previous thread where you boo-booed McCain’s decision to remain in the Hanoi Hilton with his fellow inmates because in your words, he probably knew his father would disown him.
Poppycock. Maybe his father would have done so, but if I am having my limbs broken on a regular basis in the worst kind of multi-man-on-single shackled man (the guy can’t even raise his arms above his head, and wobbles back and forth because his legs were tortured), my dad’s respect and even my own self-respect is the last thing on my mind.
If it were you or I, I don’t know that we would have been as strong as McCain. I am not supporting McCain, but you should not have denigrated his hard resolve to remain in that Hanoi hell.
I still respect and agree with most of your views, Reg, and the way I figure it, you were just really pissed at McCain that day (God knows I have been).
October 22nd, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Although I haven’t looked back at that comment, I’ll stand by the gist of it. I certainly didn’t put myself above him in terms of any capacity for endurance. But it has to be noted that he himself advised the Vietnamese he was the Admiral’s son in order to get medical treatment. Most of his injuries to his arms and leg were the result of his plane crash – and I’ll admit I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the guys who were bombing Hanoi. They were an elite group who risked death on their bombing runs – but they didn’t experience the same war the grunts did. They were engaged in a devastating mismatch. McCain dealt far more pain and suffering than he received. His treatment in Hanoi as a POW was abominable but, in fact, he is alive today because a Vietnamese peasant rescued him in a gesture of humanity that is rarely mentioned, if at all, when the POW experience is dragged out to score political points or to claim heroism. At this point, I’m sick of McCain’s trading on his POW status and consider it totally irrelevant in judging his character in the light of his subsequent career. I’m pretty sure I wrote that comment after reading this:

October 23rd, 2008 at 6:23 am
I happen to be reading DFW’s Consider the Lobster at the moment, and I’m part way through his 2000 (well I suppose 1999) piece on McCain and his run then.
He makes the whole crash and POW episode seem pretty chilling. McCain was injured when he ejected, it’s true, (three limbs broken), but he was also left for weeks without medical care. When they did set his bones, or do any work on him they did it without painkillers. In those first weeks he evidently dropped to 100 pounds in weight and everyone thought he was going to die. It was brutal treatment. When he refused to be released they beat him mercilessly, including breaking out a number of teeth.
I think McCain has run a completely vile campaign and I can’t wait to see him fade into his political senescence and irrelevance. I am also sick to gagging of him trading on being a POW for credibility as a candidate, and worse, as a military leader. It’s become obscene.
Having said that, I think we should be very careful about minimizing what happened to him, as if it was some sort of stunt, or as if he had an easy time of it, or even as if his refusal to be released was simple and commonplace.
But, McPOW is still a funny line.
October 23rd, 2008 at 6:49 am
In general, expensive clothes may be overpriced but they are very good quality and will last. Although I respect Marc’s choice of buying discount, the best of both worlds is to shop at Goodwill or Salvation Army stores that are near the high priced neighborhoods. You can be styling on an even more autere budget.
October 23rd, 2008 at 7:04 am
This issue is far more important than terrorism. Thanks for posting it.
Don’t mention that the Palin family’s Alaskan wardrobe didn’t work out for their Florida visit, that they didn’t go shopping for the clothes themselves, and that they needed to look nice for for the campaign on very short notice.
Should they have gone to the thrift stores like Obama? He does go there, doesn’t he? Surely he doesn’t go to Brooks Brothers.
You people sure seem upset about the spending of money that isn’t yours. But, if Obama is elected, all money will be considered yours, which is what you want.
October 23rd, 2008 at 7:17 am
I’d like to know why obama’s campaign spent some $490,000 on food for his campaign…
Lobster Bisque anyone?
October 23rd, 2008 at 8:50 am
Marc, Try the thrift stores, especially in the better neighborhoods. I have picked up some beautiful, like new, wool sweaters this year for about $4 each, countless pants, and several winter coats. The winter coats are more expensive, about $7 each. Make it a habit to go browse when you are in a thrift-store neighborhood.
October 23rd, 2008 at 8:54 am
“This issue is far more important than terrorism. Thanks for posting it.”
Yes, and your own endless, boresome posts over the years about 400 dollar hair cuts for John Edwards (rather paltry for “common American” Palin) and Al Gore’s energy bills were also important in that light…
October 23rd, 2008 at 8:59 am
I would be careful, Reg, about the moral relativity element of your argument re: McCain’s POW time. By the same token, does that mean that any man, woman, or child in this country who pays money to purchase a product made by third world slave labor deserves to become a slave? Where does this end? Two wrong do not make a right….although I am willing to admit that there is a hypocrisy at place: If the Vietcong or North Vietnamese had flown over our civilian airspace during Nam and dropped bombs on our citizens, our treatment would have been not much different for the unlucky soul.

I don’t think Obama and his family ate the $490,000 worth of food themselves. If the Republicans spent $150k to clothe all their staffers in McCain/Palin gear, it wouldn’t have hit the news.
It’s so funny to me that Woody and GM can’t just concede that it’s a ridiculous amount of money to spend on clothes. The right answer is, yeah, so what? She’s part of the elite now and that’s what happens when you’re a governor and running for VP. Instead we get silly and unsubstantiated accusations that Obama is worse. You’ve got to play defense every now and again or it looks like you don’t have one.

Frocks to Nowhere?
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:57 am
The McCain campaign has spent $210,000 on food which – when you consider relative to Obama’s ground operation, the remarkable paucity of campaign offices, staffers, volunteers and actual activity by McCainiacs on the ground – means that McCain staff and volunteers are probably much better fed than Obama staff and volunteers. (Although I’ve taken to doing my phone bank volunteering at the local BBQ joint that serves a buffet of ribs, potato salad and lemonade when we show up to make calls in the back room, courtesy of the owner and at no charge to the campaign or to us. Sort of like Marc making the sacrifice to go to Las Vegas…)
October 23rd, 2008 at 10:09 am
True enough, Mavis. But, I gotta admit, the spin the GOP keeps trying to gin up to excuse the Frocks to Nowhere (TM ROR), is equally amusing… as in, We were going to donate them to charity.
Three thoughts.
Frocks to Nowhere really “fits” the situation well given the way McCain and Palin are polling. All those pretty clothes and nowhere to go with them. Frocks to Nowhere was “tailor made” for this boo-boo. [Truly, ROR, you hit a home run with the bases loaded on that one. My hat is off to you.]
Secondly, the RNC would do better to auction them at Christie’s. Surely there is a mouth-breather who would pay handsomely to sniff them at his leisure. Then, the $$ could be donated to charity. I’m sure the cash would be more useful.
Finally, I’m gonna love it if Palin has to declare the duds as income. Y.E.S.S.S!

More from GM Roper and Woody
“We the People of the United States, who are also a loose confederation of bloggers, categorically reject Barack Obama for president. He is a radical socialist, he is a black separatist, a racist, he harbors pro-Muslim/Anti-Jewish sentiments and associates, he identifies with homophobes, convicted swindlers, known terrorists, creative financiers, and he has already signaled his willingness to sacrifice National Security for a dialogue with Muslim fanatics.
We cannot vote for this man. We urge you to join us in defeating Barack Obama. So say us one, so say us all.”

So you’re a terrorist supporter, Ahmed? Figures. You probably support homosexual rights, too, and you hate Israel. And to top it off, how many abortions have you prevented lately? I’m guessing zero.
Let’s face it: America has coddled liberals like you long enough. And in the process you’ve nearly destroyed our economy, spread AIDS, and embraced Islamo-fascism. You shouldn’t be shocked that true Americans like GM and myself favor a better, Christ-centered direction for our country. And our world. It’s a shame that you’re too blinded by your amoral values to understand what most Americans want.

What most americans want:
* Religion to stay the fuck away from gov’t, and vice versa
* Legal abortions up until the third trimester
* Gov’t regulation of the markets
* Talking with foreign nations, even ones we deem anti-American (yes, even Spain)
Don’t take my word for it; do a simple Google search for polls in each category. Americans have been largely pro-choice since the seventies. During the whole “Obama is an appeaser” kerfuffle all of the polls of the country said it would be a good idea to talk without preconditions. They’re not stupid enough to believe it means the same thing as “without preparation” or “let’s just give them Texas. Why not?”
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:04 pm
ooops – Woody posted a poll showing members of the military supposedly supporting McCain on his blog, which I checked to read that statement Ahmed reprinted, and I erroneously responded to the fact that it was a “voluntary survey” and not really a statistically valid sampling of all members of the military here.
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:05 pm
I just can’t figure out for the life of me why the Democrats try to surpress the votes and dispute military ballots if the military likes them so much, as reg implies.
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:06 pm
No, he’s the imposter Woody. If you’re smart enough, you can figure out which of us is real, based on what I truly believe. That’s not to say everything the imposter says is false–I question Ahmed’s seriousness in combating Islamo-fascism, and it’s true there is a homosexual agenda that is inherently anti-Christian and wrong. Basically, everything the imposter says is true, but like a typical liberal he’s trying to smear conservative views by casting them in a cynical light.
But forget trying to figure it out, reg–after all, aren’t we discussing women’s clothing? That’s probably more your area of expertise.
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:11 pm
The nostrum that this is a “center-right” country, based on actual attitudes to “liberal” vs. “conservative” policies is a myth. The right has ginned up some negative attitudes to the word “liberal” but they haven’t significantly shifted public opinion on key issues like health care, abortion rights, the economy, social security, diplomacy, etc. when the smoke clears. If for no other reason than demonstrable incompetence and unreality of “conservative” governance in recent years, moderate liberalism currently defines the “mainstream” and a more progressive liberalism has far greater potential to impact the next wave of American politics than any hardcore GOP agenda.
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:13 pm
Also, if there’s any ONE thing in the world that is totally 100% objectively true, without any doubt, it’s this: that your point is right and valid if you can draw a cartoon about it. In fact, as soon as a cartoon is entered into an argument, the argument is completely over. At that point you have won the argument. Because, you see, cartoons can’t lie; and they certainly can’t misrepresent reality.

Also, reg, as a California liberal you’re right in line with those other weasels and asses in Hollywood who support Obama, like Opie and Andy Griffith. “Mayberry” was just another conduit for socialist values, just as America began its moral decline in the 1960′s. No surprise that they’re Obama bin Laden voters.
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:30 pm
Fake! It’s sacrilege to think that Sheriff Taylor, Opie, and Richie Cunnigham would ever vote for a socialist over a red-blooded American.
Now, it’s okay if you say that Barney Fife would vote for Obama, because he’s dead, and ACORN makes sure that all dead people vote Democratic.
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:42 pm
This Woody real/fake drama is exciting.
Oh, and conservatives can stop with that ACORN bullshit. The law requires them to turn in any application they receive from idiots, even when they believe them to be fake (like if it says Mickey Mouse). In fact, if they HAD thrown out Mickey Mouse’s application they would have been charged with voter suppression. So, if in their honorable attempts to register voters in (gasp!) urban areas they get some apps from idiots who don’t take voting seriously, they can’t be held accountable. But if they throw out an application that says Mickey Mouse and it turns out that some idiot actually changed his name to Mickey Mouse, then they’re in trouble for suppressing his vote. The government has decided it’s their job to determine voter fraud, not ACORN’s.
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Opie represents America’s TIME HONORED VALUES that never existed anyway!
Us conservatives LOVE TV. That is why Reagan is our hero. We love these myths represented in cheap pop culture. Even though this mythical salt of the earth America is and has never been real, me and Woody are shallow people and need these myths to survive. Don’t you see how these people and the desire for “change” is a result of Obama’s cult of personality? We have seen this with Che, Mao, Ho, etc… through the years.
Us Conservatives and our unflinching loyalty to the Conservative movement and unregulated free markets is a sign of free thought. I mean, the Bush years been great! Corporate America and the banking industry has clearly proven that it can be trusted and that regulation infringes on freedom. Our loyalty to the many conservative ideological principals, even when they are proven failures is CLEARLY a much more sensible approach!
The socialist-Islamist-Terrorist-Baby Killers who support Obama are near demonic in their loyalty to this silly “pragmatic” approach to governance. I wish they new that it makes much more sense to fail spectacularly than to work to make the country or world better. To be a real American you HAVE to be loyalty to ideology and not the actual country. Ideology first!

Well, banks weren’t really unregulated. They were blackmailed by Congress and its ACORN agents into making the sub-prime loans, that the Republicans opposed and raised as a looming problem against Democratic stonewalling.

“Why waste your time with these “Obamabots?”
The irony about GM Ropers pathologically irational depiction of Obama is that it tends to bluntly silence an important discussion of what Adolph Reed calls Obamaism, where Obama would be the one to complete Clintonism’s redefinition of liberalism as conservatism. Underclass ideology, which roots social inequality in the behavioural patterns of the back poor is hailed by so called progresives and liberals. Activism as a way of confronting injustice is too often dismissed replaced in favour of warm, cuddly but ultimately empty rhetoric around “energy” and a fetishization of youth. A more efficient neo liberalism and effective managing of empire comes to be seen from this vatage point as prefereable to Bush’s ineptitude but the very premises of US foreign policy remain intact. Here’s a real critique of Obamaism form Adolph Reed which has little to do about whether it’s right or wrong to vote for him

Woody – you should be thankful a fake you showed up to pick up the slack because now you’re not nearly as boring as you had become.
October 23rd, 2008 at 3:55 pm
Except Woody No. 2 is too liberal.
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:37 pm
The fake Woody, now joined by the fake Roper, differ only in nuance with their real equivalents. The message is the same and in fact it’s a bit toned down compared the stuff they post on their blog. What I find interesting is that Woody will, from time to time, make very revealing jokes, like how he just teased Reg about his expertise being womens clothing. Woody the manly man, with robust hyper masculine politics versus feminine Reg. What’s interesting about Woody’s sense of masculinity is his need to declare it with a whole set of signifiers, which, themsleves are quite humourous. They usually involve declaring that he has to go watch whatever baseball or football game is on at the moment. From what we know he considers his couch potato status, that is speding hours and hours alone watchibng sports to be something of a bragging matter, which confirms his elevated status as a “real man”. Just like not knowing anything about the world around you and abodoning all critical thought makes when “pro American” in Palins world. Talk about insecurities…

On Woody’s turf:
Saturday
Atlanta
President Clinton
Martin Rally
T-12 days to wilderness journey.
Don’t forget to pack your flashlight.
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:52 pm
Ahmed, you can’t tell the real Woody from the fake one. I didn’t make that comment about reg.
Hey, I like sports, and in the Deep South it’s a major part of life. If you consider that I’m trying to appear as a “real man,” then you have no clue about this region. People are more concerned about Friday night high school football and who wins the SEC title than political issues and where reg shops for clothes.
Maybe you’re revealiing your own insecurities.
Now, back to the game. Auburn just intercepted a pass.
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:08 pm
It’s interesting to watch Woody become progressively more unhinged as the thread wears on.
The disparity in the food spending between the McCain and Obama campaigns is simple: All of Obama’s sandwiches are made with arugala.
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:20 pm
arugala:
defined as a sound you make after sex or a sigh of relief.
Mayhaps you meant arugula?
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:26 pm
I think spelling every word correctly makes you look pedantic. I take Marc Cooper as my model here.
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:37 pm
Ahmed.
Real, straight, hetro men sit around watching sports. Nothing defines male heterosexuality more than watching men sweat together, bleed together, hug, jump for joy with one another, and all while wearing matching uniforms. I know the cheer leaders are just supposed to balance things out and all, but following sports news, fantasy leagues, endless journalism on ESPN and Fox, radio, knowing all about the lives from college on of male athletes is VERY straight.
Further, Woody is a real heterosexual male can also be found in his admiration for strong, masculine, brave war heroes. Again, nothing is more straight than festishizing over a fellow male who are brave enough to fight for empire in the same cozy uniforms. Paying close attention to Generals and praising and admiring, if not fawning over their strong authority is also very hetero.
So you are wrong good sir. Woody and myself are very straight. Looking at naked women is against family values as you know. Enjoying the company of women and treating them as equals is especially gay btw. Having the confidence in your sexuality and thus not feeling threatened by gay men is also very gay btw. Only straight men fear harmless gay men who live nowhere near you.
Drooling over generals, presidents, sports heroes, and preachers and male authority figures in general is actually what straight men do.

Ahmed,
You should also know that sports are authentic. And the deep south is real America, plain and simple. I know that they love sports all over the country and that the Northeast has more pro sports teams than the South, but that is due to liberal bias. The hard working folks down south are denied pro sports teams because they do not have socialist governments that subsidize stadiums. It is that simple. It all comes down to the socialism found in big city governments that build stadiums and the communist owners who only want to make sure that they have teams in cities that will overpay minorities in order to support the racist separatist movements that get donations from those stadium workers and from the minority athletes. Pro sports really is an effort to redistribute wealth to minorities so thus you need to see pro sports as a communist/socialist (maybe eurocommunist?) effort. That is what the DSOA tell me anyway.
College sports, namely the SEC teams are closer to southern white conservative values. As you know, college athletes do not get paid and thus they are like a neoplantation of sorts. The white athletes are more of the indentured brand of slaves, we make sure they end up ok in the end and get good sales jobs upon graduation.
October 23rd, 2008 at 5:55 pm
Also, many black pro athletes have Islamic names in case you have not noticed. Those athletes get rich and support terrorism, socialism, communism, and racial separatists all over the globe.

It’s not like a “thrill goes up our legs”, as with you guys when you see Obama. You pansy.
October 23rd, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Woody, except that the law says ACORN has to turn in any application they receive. I’m positive ACORN would not have turned any apps in with cartoon character names if they could have chosen not to. I don’t know exactly how they do their job, but it doesn’t sound like their volunteers’ fault.
Also, guys, can we at least live in objective reality here some of the time? I mean, it’s objective truth that Republicans/conservatives are manly as all fuck (and have, on average, larger penises) and Democrats/liberals are pussies (and, on average, litterally have one).
October 23rd, 2008 at 6:15 pm
Plus, it’s not voter fraud until someone uses a fake name to vote. And it’s very hard to do. In fact, in the entire 2004 election they only found four illegitimate ballots. So, it was either idiots being “funny” or idiots thinking that by registering fake names they can vote multiple times. Either way, they were idiots who weren’t going to get away with anything. I would say it was more likely that, if there actually were any insidious motives, some idiot was trying to create controversy to make the Democrats look bad.
October 23rd, 2008 at 7:01 pm
Howie, call it whatever name you want, but submitting fake voter applications is illegal and has been prosecuted. ACORN been fined in the past for this.
ACORN has a duty to train and monitor its workers, and I don’t mean training them to not get caught. At a minimum, their fraud overwhelms election boards and keeps them from the closer monitoring that it needs to do. At worse, it allows fake voters to change the results.
Don’t give me the nonsense about finding only four fake votes. A lot more dead people voted than that. It amazes me that Democrats manage to find 1,000 votes in a district with a population of 600. They sure stole the Washington governor’s race really good, and Milwaukee has an amazing population explosion on election day.
And, don’t give me this “no harm, no foul” stuff. Try running a red light at night in front of a cop and tell him no one was coming.
Look, I’m too busy now. You guys take it. I’m finished.

“Friday night high school football and who wins the SEC title than political issues and where reg shops for clothes”
Bargain hunting and Kmart if I recall

Sports? I’ll give you sports. Mealy-mouthed Republicans, don’t mess with Terry Tate.
Welcome to the 2008 elections, GOP: your world of PAIN! Obama, baby!!! Whoooooop!
October 24th, 2008 at 8:21 am
Fiore’s response reminds me that some people are humorless and have no sense of self depracation.
October 24th, 2008 at 8:22 am
But I did misspell deprecation, if that makes you fell any better.
October 24th, 2008 at 8:56 am
Speaking of sports, in case anyone didn’t get it, I’m “white cornerback” in honor of fact that of 64 NFL CB’s, there are exactly zero white ones. I’m not complaining, just amused, especially considering political controversy about black QBs a few years ago. That got us a whole bunch of black QB’s who often lead their teams in rushing, but whose other numbers were quite lousy. NFL is still largely meritocratic, praise the lord, especially in the long run, and its good to see the remaining black QB’s today are mostly real QB’s (i.e. drop-back passers, mobile only when necessary).
October 24th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
The whole thread is having fun, whitecornhole…until you post.
Do you really wonder why that guy shot you in the head?
October 24th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
“Getting shot in the head”? You’ve had some good ones in the past (“follow your fascist bliss”) but I don’t get your reference here.
October 24th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
In another thread as you were revealing the genesis of your conversion from “whitey hating liberal” to whatever people call white americans who have no cultural compass and become obsessed with some fantasy of preserving some sort of “heritage”–one imagines it to be engineered by Disney or Norman Rockwell–you described your being shot in the head while riding your bike–having been attacked for “going the wrong way”. I think there is something of a Jungian slip there.
October 24th, 2008 at 10:54 pm
I think you must be referring to the peace activist I mentioned, shot in the head while riding through the wrong part of New Orleans around 2 am a couple of weeks ago. Too bad her killer never took the time to find out how much she hated white bitches too. Oh well, at least she died a whitey hating leftist.
October 25th, 2008 at 10:21 am
Howie, call it whatever name you want, but submitting fake voter applications is illegal and has been prosecuted.
I repeat, only one CEO of a voter registration organization has been arrested for registration fraud and he happens to have been a contractor for the GOP.

Hello there. I am really fascinated on this matter. Could anyone be composing everything also on the subject of this?
