Similarly, it’s increasingly hilarious to me that the Left refuses to make the minimum wage unnessary, by offering higher paid jobs! Oh yeah, the Left doesn’t offer jobs to poor people, or almost anybody — they want to gov’t to do it, or the rich, or somebody else.

I know that G.M. wrote you a very cordial email wanting to bury the hatchet and to have some positive conversation–even offering to buy you a beer and take you out for some good Mexican food. As for the unemployment numbers. As you should know the figures only list those looking for work. If you have given up, are a “discouraged worker”, you’re not counted. And the labor force participation is down from the Clinton years. So you could probably double the current number and, if you count workers working part-time but desiring full time jobs, raise it even more.

Finally, I can’t let Woody’s cheap shot at Gore go by. Did Gore invent the internet? No some people at BBN, Stanford, Utah, UCSB, and UCLA did that when they created the ARPANET for the DARPA in 1970. Government program by the way (evil! evil!)
