Hold on to your hats, we're having a Blog Carnival over at Pajamas/OSM.A carnival OF PRE-WAR INTELLIGENCE: WHAT WE KNEW, WHEN WE KNEW IT, AND WHAT WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN GOING INTO THE IRAQ WAR.
On Friday, OSM extended an open-invitation to bloggers everywhere, requesting posts on the topic of pre-war intelligence. Read on to find out where the bodies (or WMDs) are buried. Or not!

Imagine what we could have done with a $50 billion destbalization program in Iran, for sure. And let’s throw in Iraq on the same tab. I think that would have been a swell idea. And we would have had $100 billion for post-revolution aid– of which we would only have to really spend maybe $5 billion, tops.”
I had to swallow real hard and click my ruby shoes… Did I read correct? Marc Cooper FOR covert (or maybe overt) destabilization of a foreign government? WOW!!!

Of course Marc Cooper is for covert destabilization of Iraq, Cuba or any other country that does not live up to his liberal standards. What I don’t get is why Cooper still thinks he some kind of radical. If he is a radical, so is Nat Hentoff. In fact, when Hentoff croaks (can’t happen soon enough), one would expect Cooper to assume the mantle of senior blowhard liberal journalist.

why run a big covert operation, why not just big overt program? then everyone could do their own overt programs of destabilization without a concern about little things like international law anymore.
