Cuba Begins Peforming State-Sponsored Sex-Change Operations

All you have to do is go to the Anderson Cooper blog, though, and read all the adoring comments about what an Uberman Cooper is, and the giant photos of his helping the bleeding little boy with blood gushing down the kid’s face and body, and then watch the video, later, as Anderson carries him away in his buffed biceps – in order to get an odd vibe from how CNN, and even Cooper, I must say, is portraying all of this.

An hour ago I saw Mr “Keeping Them Honest” talking from the ground about his witnessing the near riot, and although the clip probably won’t be repeated, and the language on his blog is far milder, he literally referred to the young men looting the candles (to resell them, he tells us) as “profiting from the despair of others.” Obviously, that coming from any reporter on CNN is laughable, but it also points to why they’re steering clear of any discussion of our policy in Haiti in recent history — they dismiss it as being beside the point. You know: now people are dying, so let’s not ask why there was no infrastructure in the first place. CNN is now “SAVING HAITI” in big letters. It’s aimed at our chauvinistic tendencies, and, yeah, it really sucks

They can tell us that they bring the world’s attention to this pocket of despair, but what took? They’re making a lot of sudden money on CNN due to this sudden crisis, one can see that from all the new and very, very frequent ads, on there. Okay, they can make money, or they can make money while broadcasting crap amid the actual information they provide, then say that they do good, good , good because Dr. Gupta is there, performing surgeries… but the Mafia gives away money, all the time. We can presume that Dr. Gupta, being the great humanitarian he assuredly is (as we have been assured by CNN, constantly, for some many months), that the good doctor would be down there, right now, anyway, even if he weren’t on CNN.

If you misrepresent a culture, or misrepresent why something befalls them whilst you rake it in, then that’s, obviously, a bit criminal. I’m almost sure Larry King doesn’t like this kind of reportage, but I’ve a feeling he’s rare, and they’ve pushed him into high hukster mode for years on CNN, anyhow. There’s a desperate superiority being shilled on CNN, and maybe it’s an indication that their business model can’t compete with better ways of reporting the news, and reporting why things happen.
