Cooper on the Radio

I'm guest-hosting Wednesday and Thursday on Public Radio International's To The Point. You can listen to both shows by clicking on the link above. Or hear Thursday's show live at NOON PDT streaming live on KCRW, or on 89.9 FM if you live in the Los Angeles area. On Wednesday's show we had a good hour-long discussion of both the war in Iraq and the war in Lebanon. Among my guests were Washington Post Pulitzer-winner Tom Ricks, Professor Juan Cole, Ed Wong of the New York Times, Professor Hilal Khashan from Beirut, and Israeli analyst Uri Dromi. Thursday's show will also focus on the war.

I bet that more listeners in L.A. care about the traffic reports than the wars in the mideast.

Should be an interesting show. Saw Tom Ricks on Charlie Rose last evening. Devastating.

    Keep up the good work.

    Cooper,

You are an incredible interviewer. Although I know your political position on many things, I never get the sense that you are “leading the witness.” You did this on Radio Nation. You are not an aggressive pit dog interviewer (there is a time and place for that, Democracy Now! and some BBC shows) but you really explore an analyze events, with your questions.

There is another ex[?]-KPFK radio personality who substitutes for Larry Mantle, but I forget his name.

    Thanks NeoDude.

Geez, Woody, could u be a little bit more downbeat? Actually the radio show I saw in on in is one of the most popular in the signal area.

    Marc,

I’m a fan and maybe I’m stupid, but I had to do backflips to get a url to download mp3s of your shows. I am not a regular subscriber to To the Point and don’t want to be.

In the future, how about you post links on your blog to the MP3s when you’re on the radio?
