It's all well and good to oppose Mugabe, but what comes after him? Maybe Mbeki and Mandela are concerned that post-Mugabe Zimbabwe would look too much like post-Hussein Iraq. Felling dictators isn't easy or clean or quick. The moral choices can be stark, as is apparently the case with Mugabe, but the practical dimension is ignored at great peril.
