Hillary Crashing

I'm having a pretty good laugh reading the comments on The Caucus blog about the sudden resignation of Mark Penn, penn.jpg chief Hillary Clinton campaign strategist.  I LOVE the Hillaryoids clucking away that this is the best darn thing that's ever happened to their gal.

Right. Great news! Wonderful! Marvelous!

Poor victimized Hillary.  After that tough, tough life at Yale Law, after all that abuse at the white shoe Rose Law firm, after having to put up with that philandering hubby, after being mocked by Obama, betrayed by Richardson, let down by the blacks, she is now free! Free, I tell you, from the smarmy clutches of Mark Penn who -- somehow--mysteriously attached himself to her campaign and bungled an otherwise brilliant venture.

Next, these zombies will be telling themselves that it's even better news that the campaign is out of money because it will free Hillary up from the mundane distraction of deciding where to spend it.

Facts: Mark Penn is a long-time associate of Hill's and occupied the position he did because she wanted him to.  Penn was among the litter Hillary dragged into the Clinton White House in 1996 along with garbage man Dick Morris when the happy couple were strategizing Bill's re-election.  Penn's always been a dirt-ball. That his specialty. That's what he charges for. That's why the Clinton campaign has paid him many millions to date. That's why the Clintons relied on him  a dozen years ago. That's why Hillary relied him on until a few hours ago (and probably will continue to do so albeit in a more unofficial manner).

She had no problem with him when he, along with Morris, pushed successfully for the abolition of the federal welfare safety net. She had no problem with him when he was fronting for Blackwater. She had no problem with his links to union-busting efforts.  And I'm sure she had no fundamental problem with his meeting with Colombian officials to push a free-trade deal which she supposedly opposes -- except for the fact that he got caught doing it.

The bitter, bitter end is drawing near. Penn, I'm sure, was only too happy to bail now instead of waiting around for another 3-4 weeks and having to suffer the near-inevitable humiliation of formally conceding defeat of his execrable campaign.

Clinton will win Pennsylvania, it seems. But by half or even a smaller margin than she maintained only a few weeks ago.

And then, that will be that. The latest polls out of North Carolina now show Clinton down by a staggering 23 points, and sinking.  Vastly outspent in Pennsylvania, she has no resources to defend herself in the other nine pending contests. The nervous superdelegates continue to defect, despite the ill-advised and public recrimnations against Bill Richardson by the always repugnant Jim Carville.

You can use the Paypal button on the top of the blog to donate a buck or two to my newest humanitarian cause. I want to raise enough money to buy a carton of black crepe and Fedex it over to Clinton headquarters. It's just about time to start tacking it up.

Doesn’t she stand to do very well in some of the upcoming primaries — such as KY, WV, IN. Despite your fond hopes, she’s not going gentle into that good night. With or without Penn. I don’t think NC is the end of the dance.

  2. Grumpy Old Man Says:

The $109M tax return disclosure won’t help her fundraising, and so Obama will rule the airwaves.

SNL has her saying she’s in the race until the inauguration. It’s going to take a powerful cabal of party elders to show her the handwriting on the wall.

As for me, I might cozy up to Bob Barr.

  3. David Says:

The longer that Hillary stays in this race, the less and less that I like her. From day one, her positions on issues relative to Obama have been cosmetic at best (though Obama is, in my opinion, far more genuine and concrete in his beliefs). So, as she is trying to stop this overwhelming flood of Obama support, she resorts to personal character assassination, since there is nothing else left in the barrel. I so detest this woman that I am seriously considering donating money to her next Republican opponent in the New York Senate Race.

  4. reg Says:

Uh oh…my worst fear for Obama – another Marc Cooper prediction of Hillary’s imminent demise. I’m sure he’ll survive it, but he’d better eat an extra bowl of Wheaties every morning for the duration.

  5. Eve Says:

Why doesn’t everyone leave Hillary alone. I think she’s doing a great job, and will continue to do so. The men don’t want her because she is a woman. Well too bad………..It takes a woman to run a real WHITE HOUSE. GO HILL

  6. Bill Bradley Says:

Not to worry, with this latest in a series of debacles, everyone will be leaving Hillary alone soon enough.

  7. Alex Higgins Says:

“Why doesn’t everyone leave Hillary alone. I think she’s doing a great job, and will continue to do so.”

The more pertinent question is why doesn’t Hillary leave us alone, since she cannot hope to win the nomination by any means that is not highly divisive and corrupt.

“The men don’t want her because she is a woman.”

The same men who celebrated the election of America’s first female Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, supported Segolene Royale against Sarkozy in France, mourned the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan, defended Samantha Power, backed Donna Edwards fr Congress against Al Wynn etc. etc. etc. etc. Yeah, we must just be spiteful mysoginists afraid of women’s leadership.

It’s painful to see how little Senator Clinton’s supporters have to offer by way of argument.

One of the most important skills a politician should have – and which voters should look for – is an indication that they know when it’s time to go.

  8. David Says:

“The men don’t want her because she is a woman. Well too bad…”

There are a number of women whom I would vote for in a second if they ran.

  9. Michael Turner Says:

Me, three. Pat Schroeder, after all these years. (She has a lot more experience than Hillary having gotten there on her own, a real sense of humor, and she is NOT IRRITATING.) Likewise for Olympia Snowe (even though she’s a moderate Repub.)

  10. Woody Says:

I keep telling you guys that Bill Clinton will be the next First Lady. Nothing, absolutely nothing, including laws and especially morals, will keep the Clinton’s from the prize that they want.

Hillary will stay in the race and will destroy Obama with slime, dirty tricks, and back-room deals. Then, in the general election, she will move much closer to the right so as to appear moderate for independents and undecideds. The former Obama supporters will still vote for her because she’s a Democrat. She’ll attack McCain as too old (oh, we’re sorry if someone took our comment to mean that McCain is too old and senile and may die in office), and she’ll win the general election.

Never, never, never count out the Clinton’s.

Then, as one of her first acts, she’ll send an army into Texas to burn and kill a fringe religious sect.

  11. Jim R Says:

I think Eve was just a little facetious guys.

  12. richard locicero Says:

Hillary Clinto is not going to get the nomination but why should she drop out before the end of primary season when everyone has had their chance to vote? I don’t recall Marc urging Jerry Brown to quit the race in ‘92 when it was obvious he was not going to get the brass ring. Besides, don’t you people notice that every contest has seen record registration and turnout figures? Gee, what a disaster!

I may be alone with Bill Boyarsky but I think this is helping the party. By generating media interst people are gettin g the message. What is noxious is the descent into the gutter with all kinds of smears being thrown but I seriously wonder if that is the candidate’s fault or our friends in the media?

Example – last week John Yoo’s memo was released. You know – the one where he justified torture and announced that the President could suspend the 4th Amdt for “Foreign Terrorists”. Media matters did a study and found:
    around 100 stories on Woo

    3,000 stories on Rev. Wright

1,000 stories on the Clinton Tax Returns

    and:

    1,000 stories on Monica lewinsky!

Yeah, real enlightening. And I’m also with Kevin Drumm – why Micky Kaus wants to know what the Clinton’s did with their dough is bogus. No one asked the Reagans, or the Bushs or any other ex-President. If marc want to explode over that 109 million maybe He;d like to ask about Cheney and Shrub and the monies they’ve made WHILE in office!

  13. Woody Says:

Hillary is taking a moral stance–against her biggest contributor, Communist China. Not really, but she would like you to think so for now.

“…I believe President Bush should not plan on attending the opening ceremonies in Beijing, absent major changes by the Chinese government.”

Of course, later, she would criticize him for not attending and making relations worse.

  14. Adam Says:

another old white man telling Hillary to drop out… Typical.

  15. Amber Says:

I’m still laughing at the fact that people are still discounting Hillary at this point in the race. With less than 2% of the total delegates separating them, it’s hardly “in the bag” for Obama. I laugh even harder at the statement I read in a post above regarding Obama as “genuine”. The sad part is that many of Obama’s supporters do not know the real Obama, but are caught up in moment of having an “African American” run for president, or otherwise simply choose not to acknowledge the facts.

I mean, we’re talking about a man who voted NO regarding the following bills:

    - The Born Alive Infant Protection Package – to
create a cause of action if a child is born alive after an abortion and the child is then neglected through failure to provide medial care after birth.

    - To give no offer of “good time” for sex offenders sentenced to the County Jail.
*Obama was the only vote against this measure.

Not to mention his 120+ “Present” votes on numerous other important issues, i.e. the easy way out. So much for “genuine and concrete in his beliefs”.

    Surely you jest! ;)

  16. cs Says:

Your malicious nature shines through your post; it is wishful thinking on your part to view every problem or setback as a sign that Hillary is crashing. The bottom line is that neither candidate will have enough delegates on their own without the Superdelegates, the race is still pretty much in a dead heat tie. Despite Gov. Richardson’s treacherous ways, there was a Hillary fundraiser here in NM attended by Hillary supporters including Alb. Mayor Martin Chavez and Lt. Gov Diane Denish and other supporters here, starting at $1,000/plate. I guess they didn’t read your article about how publication of her tax returns is going to hurt her fund raising efforts.

  17. Suzan Forster Says:

    Mark Cooper? Who’s Mark Cooper?

Take my advice and quit your day job, Mark. You’re not a writer or a political prognoticator of any merit or consequence. Otherwise, you’d find something better to do with your time than this petty Hillary-bashing.

    Maybe try crepe-hanger’s union?

  18. Suzan Forster Says:

“Another old white man telling Hillary to drop out. Typical.”

Brilliant, Adam. I’m repeating it to make sure everybody sees it, especially the old white guy, lol

  19. Amber Says:

By the way, if anyone would like further information on Mr. Barack Obama, go to:

    Barack Obama: EXPOSED!

Enter your e-mail address and you’ll be sent a .pdf document with 37 pages of information. If you’re going to support Obama, at least know the kind of person you’re supporting.

  20. Jill Herbers Says:

Wow, what a bitter, uncreative writer. Live up to your potential as a human being and write something constructive.

  21. okiedokie53 Says:

No matter what you or anyone says she is in until the convention. Neither Obama or Hillary have the delegates needed to win. Why don’t you ask Obama to quit since he hasn’t closed the deal yet? It’s not up to the “fair and unbaised media” to decide who decide who is the candidate!

  22. Jean Grillo Says:

What is it about the power of this woman to overcome some lousy men in her life that gets other men all snarky and nasty. Too close to home, perhaps? Stop writing Clinton off. She and Obama still need more votes than they currently have.

When was democracy in this country for men only? Oh, right, just before Women’s Suffrage. Well, those days are over (and my 24 year old daughter is a big Clinton fan as well. So are many of her young friends.) We are not all sheep.

  23. Ev Pheanis Says:

I wouldn’t buy the black crepe yet .. well, of course you may need it for Obama ’s exit. His props will fall out at some point and he will be left standing alone like a card board cut out, a cardboard caricature of a candidate..

  24. azg1958 Says:

It’s sad to see how people like you take freedom of speech with no sense of respect and eloquence. The citizens of the USA are suppose set examples of being the most democratic, civilized, educated, with common sense, however, your comments are a disgraced and disappointment against those people that would like to exercise their right to vote in the remaining 10 states. Also, both candidates have been educated in private and elite schools, there is no “poor Hillary — tough life at Yale;” Sen. Obama attended Harvard and his father attending Harvard as well, then went back to Kenya. Life is not that complicated, we so called “civilized people” create the obstacles and barriers based upon our everyday choices. Don’t be surprise when the “zombies” are the winners at the end!!!!

  25. richard locicero Says:

I’m as amused as you are, Amber, by the glee with which Marc consigns the Clintons to perdition at every turn – although God knows her actions and statements these days make such commentary easy – but, please be careful when looking at Obama. I’m sorry dear but if you think that “37 pages of Information” from HUMAN EVENTS (!) disqualifies BHO then stop and pull up any “Exposes” they have on Hillary!

  26. EESU Says:

Mr. Cooper, please FEDEX the black crepes to Obama and his surrogates. They have no chance to pull through in the remaining state primaries because people are waking up and knowing who the real Obama is, he is no doubt an empty suit, talks on vague terms about these changes he is talking about(nonspecific) and simply do not have a grasp of what is going on in this country. He has been riding on Sen Clinton’s solutions for our problems. He has no original ideas. We listened to his speeches too you know and and he sure does well with teleprompters otherwise he stutters when on his own to answer questions, doesn’t he? There is a difference between speeches and actions. Mr Obama is full of speeches and Sen Clintons is full of actions and solutions. Your write-up has no substance similar to Mr. Obama.

  27. Albert Madrid Says:

Hillary should be our next President

As we await the Pennsylvania primary, the media outlets are using this lull in the campaign to discourage Senator Clinton and their supporters from continuing in the race.

A governor from New Mexico has come out in support of Senator Obama, even though in his previous statements he had said the Super delegates should vote the will of the people. New Mexico voted for Hillary.

It does not matter that millions of people support her and that she most likely would be ahead in the popular vote if the Obama campaign had not blocked the Florida and Michigan votes.

Even Senator Obama has taken a vacation I guess very certain that he has the nomination in his hands. The incident reminds me of President Bush chopping wood and clearing brush at his ranch, during many of the country’s crises.

Now the media is playing a misstatement from Senator Clinton about a trip to Bosnia as proof that she cannot be trusted. The NY Times published an article by people that where on that trip that corroborate Senator Clinton’s story. Now they claim her hospital story is bogus when it is not.

Please, Senator Clinton is the only Democrat that is electable in November. Senator Clinton has a health plan that will cover all and has proposed changes to the real estate market that would alleviate foreclosures. She has been a champion for children, women, families, the elderly and the middle class. And as proven by her First daily diaries and entries, she is a hard worker and has contacted and met with people all over the world.

She has been attacked by the republicans for years and has been able to come out intact. All the fabricated issues about Whitewater, Vince Foster, etc, turned out nothing more then innuendos and cheap shots.

On the other hand, Senator Obama has a thin resume. His recent lies about the Nafta Canadian contacts and his true feelings about pulling out of Iraq. He lied about his close relationship with Tony Rezko and the amount of contributions he received. He lied about his relationship with Pastor Wright and his acceptance in church of the anti-American slogans preached by Pastor Wright. In his follow up speech, he stood by his Pastor even though he said he did not agree with the statements. However, his speech blamed white America for the hateful feelings pastor Wright and other blacks continue to have. He basically said that whites are racist, just as his grandmother said things that would make him cringe. I guess the hateful things that Pastor Wright, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson say ,don not make him cringe. He claimed he was a Law Professor when he was not. He has claimed his work as a lawyer to be exclusively as an activist when it was not. He believes his daughters would be “punsihed” with a child. For goodness sake, he even lies about whether he has quit smoking or not.

I want as President, someone who is mature and has worked every day to make people’s life better. I don’t want the author of the Audacity of Hope which is based on ideals that may be the results of hate or resentment. I don’t want Hope based on nebulous ideas about getting along without concrete plans or grasp on how to solve daily problems.

Instead, I want the author of It Takes a Village, in which everyone pitches in; the government helps but is not intrusive. I want the author that has dreamt of a village that is thankful for what we have. A village that has hope for the future and has ideas based on experience and not in hate or hidden resentments.

Let the rest of the states complete the primaries without interfering with the process. In the end, it will be obvious the only choice for President is Hillary Clinton.

  28. Doug and Tracey Says:

WOW! I am speechless. This is the kind of article that makes me want to puke! The writer of this article needs to be fired!

  29. Ms. L. Mott Says:

My response to the following– DEAR MARC- IF YOU CAN’T EVEN AFFORD A CARTON OF BLACK CREPE- AND NEED A FUND RAISER- YOU ARE WORSE OFF THAT YOU REALIZE!!!! THE SMART THING FOR YOU TO DO IS VOTE FOR HILLARY AND GET YOURSELF OUT OF THIS ECOMONIC SLUMP!!!

“You can use the Paypal button on the top of the blog to donate a buck or two to my newest humanitarian cause. I want to raise enough money to buy a carton of black crepe and Fedex it over to Clinton headquarters. It’s just about time to start tacking it up”

  30. Russell Says:

All this “inside baseball” is irrelevant to the issues: universal health care, ending the war, financing education, ending W’s “war on science” (e.g., his blocking stem cell research). Campaign staff come and go: Kerry and McCain famously sacked their campaign honchos and went on to win their nominations. What Mark Penn did was wrong, and he’s out because of what he did. End of story.

  31. Joe Says:

I don’t think Hillary should drop out of the race. When you look thru opensecrets.org and see that executives from the lobbyist firm of Sidley Austin, executives from energy company Excelon and executives from BP are contributing the maximum amounts to Obama’s campaign, yet he says he doesn’t take their money, Hillary should stay in and make sure he uses their money. Axelrod is a mastermind at selling a product, he’s convinced the reality tv generation that this candidate is full of hope – it’s false hope and special interest money. Hillary should stay in the race until the voters wake-up or the real Obama rears his head.

  32. Nanci Says:

I can’t believe this is America? Here we have a woman who really cares about America and has what it takes to get this country back on track and she is continually criticized for every little problem that arises.

He really makes you wonder why Obama who had a 20 year mentor Pastor Wright, and all the hateful things that this Pastor preached, and Obama still defends him and still goes to this church, and the American people think it is acceptable. I am sorry, but I thought as an American’s would be stand up against this bigotry, and not take a chance on electing a man with such a shady pass. Obama says he has more experience then McCain and Hillary in foreign affairs, and yet the media doesn’t jump on that fantasy.

Many people are concerned about Obama becoming President or getting the nomination. Sure, Hillary as exaggerated some things, but Obama’s real true racist views, and his anti-American attitudes are of much more concern to Americans. I won’t take a chance on this country getting into the hands of this type of man. I get see through his rhetoric.

The DNC “elite” have wanted this Obama to get the nomination from the beginning. They won’t let Florida and Michigan count. Obama doesn’t want Florida and Michigan to count. Really search your soul, is this the democratic, American way? The only reason I can think of is this is still a man’s world no matter what.
They can not stand the fact of a woman becoming the President of the United States, because it will show these men that a woman can get this country back on track. They’re afraid if she succeeds, more qualified women will be President and that scares their dirty little pants off.

I challenge the women of America to stand up and lets get Hillary Clinton in to the White House. She is our best chance for peace and prosperity.

    Hillary 2008.

  33. Tobias Says:

Obama is nothing more then a hypocritical empty suit. He is not genuine about anything and he has no policies unless he waits for Senator Clinton and then he just plagiarizes hers. The guy has done nothing but lie about his background and his credentials. Aren’t we electing a president here? Aren’t we supposed to elect the best qualified and the one who can win in November? The only person who makes sense is Hillary Clinton so please stop your bashing and get a brain.

  34. skmckinny Says:

    “Poor Marc Coooper!”
It is people like you who give a bad name to journalism.. and the media is full of you these days.

I am glad Senator Clinton has stood up and taken the most consistent stance on in-sourcing. In fact, she is the ONLY candidate who knows how to fix this “in the tank” economy.

Unless our economy improves, you and I are in the same boat called America… and we need our next President to be an expert in economics.

For any President to help us, they need to know and understand ECONOMICS (American and global) inside out. Watch this.

Hillary Clinton’s Economic Plan for Amer.Economy[CNBC]

How politics could affect your portfolio
Cramer throws a LOT of questions at her, one after the other.
Hillary knows and articulates her positions and plans very well.
Hillary has a very good and PROACTIVE approach.
She gives excellent coverage of key items in her Economic Plan.

Senator Clinton knows and understands American and World Economics so well that I am confident that she will fix the mega issues this economy is riddled with today.

We already know she will treat all people with DIGNITY and RESPECT. That is something she has done and promoted in every setting, all her life.

The author has forgotten about respect and dignified treatment of all people.

The author and ALL READERS are well advised to visit this website: http://www.diversityj.com/ElectionResults2008Primary.html where a terrific statistician presents most accurate upto date numbers in a manner that we can interpet for ourselves.. the information is presented in vertical bar charts.

  35. Patty Ryan Says:

I find it interesting how everyone wants Hillary to drop out. Is it fear that she can win? Do you not want Health care for everyone? Or does it just make you feel powerful to join the ranks of the good ole boy republican Hillary bashing? Ah the cowards behind the computer screen.

  36. Linda Says:

Mark Penn made the right decision. His departure will not negatively affect the Clinton campaign. The strength of Hillary Clinton is her ability to keep going regardless of adversity and her strong positions on the economy, health care, and security. Everytime anything happens in the Clinton campaign, the vultures come out. When Hillary wins in Pa., someone will write that she should drop out.

  37. Sandy in PA Says:

Sorry, pal, but this is all much ado about nothing!! You guys keep trying to make mountains out of molehills.

If you need confirmation of how well she’s doing, here you go from the latest Quinnipiac Poll:

    http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x2882.xml?ReleaseID=1164

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton holds a 50 – 41 percent lead over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama among likely Pennsylvania Democratic primary voters and runs better against Arizona Sen. John McCain, the likely Republican nominee in Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

This compares to a 53 – 41 percent lead in a March 18 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University. In general election match ups of the three largest and most important swing states in the Electoral College, the survey finds.
    Florida: Clinton 44 percent – McCain 42 percent; McCain beats Obama 46 – 37 percent;
    Ohio: Clinton beats McCain 48 – 39 percent; Obama gets 43 percent to McCain’s 42 percent;
Pennsylvania: Clinton tops McCain 48 – 40 percent; Obama leads McCain 43 – 39 percent.

The primary vote between Obama and Clinton splits sharply along racial lines, with her advantage coming from stronger support in every contest from white voters. For example, Clinton leads 59 – 34 percent among white Pennsylvania likely primary voters, while Obama leads 73 – 11 percent among black Democrats.

“When it comes to November, Sen. Hillary Clinton’s strength is a big edge over Sen. Barack Obama among white voters, who have not given a majority of their votes to a Democratic presidential nominee since Lyndon Johnson in 1964,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.”

More than a third of voters in the three states think Obama’s race is an advantage, more than twice the number who think it is a disadvantage. By contrast, roughly a quarter of voters say Clinton’s gender is an advantage, and about the same number think it is a disadvantage.

“Former Democratic vice presidential nominee Geraldine Ferraro’s assertion that Obama’s race has helped his candidacy finds some support among the electorate,” said Brown.

“At least for now, Sen. Clinton’s argument that she is the better general election candidate in these key battleground states appears to have some validity,” said Brown. “In this survey, her strength among white voters is why she runs better against Sen. McCain than does Sen. Obama. “

  38. Fourth Time Around Says:

    so….?

  39. Geri Wiltshire Says:

If Hillary crashes, so does the democrat ticket in the general election. She is the only viable candidate running in this election. I happen to know many democrats who will either stay home or vote for Mccain because Obama scares them, and they don’t trust him.

My advice to Hillary is that, if they don’t count all the states, including Michigan and Florida, and discontinue the bias media coverage, run on an independent ticket in November. She will blow them out of the water.

This country needs a strong person, that doesn’t change like the wind the way the other two candidates are doing. She is not afraid to vote on important issues regardless of the fallout, unlike Obama.

We know Hillary loves this country. She has proven to be a true patriot and leader among leaders.

The super delegates need to be aware of the distrust people have in Obama, especially since he failed to totally disown his minister/uncle for the anti american hatred that he preached from the pulpit. If you are too weak to totally remove yourself from anti american people, then how will you confront foreign dictators, and terrorists that may hurt this country?

Obama is not the person that will confront anyone, he is in fact a weak man or else he would not have agreed with his ranting minister. Either way, he loses that argument.

This comes down to a matter of trust. I personally as well as millions of others trust Hillary.

  40. gerald Says:

It’s funny how Obama supporters make it seem that Hillary is the one committing character attacks. C’mon, read something other than Obama blogs. Obama has been using race to his advantage spreading lies among the AA community to label Hillary a racist, and he also perpetuated the Ferraro story, and was caught in SC pushing race into politics, in which he apologized but blamed his surrogates (Youtube: Obama pushing race). His advisor, Axelrod, had a planned out smear tactic to destroy Hillary’s character, not the other way around. He was telling Obama’s supporters to spread the “win at all cost” notion and the “destroying the party” message to show Hillary in a negative light and incite fear among Americans. He also told all the Obama surrogates to try to convince Hillary to drop out, so Obama would automatically win . The fact of the matter is, neither of them can win by delegates at this point. It is best for the race to continue because the media and the American people still do not know who he is and all the lies the media is hiding from us. His friendship with Ayers should have been all over the news, but of course the bias media does not report this. The media is also not reporting his association with Odinga, and Auchi, his James Frey-ish autobiograpy(GOOGLE: Obama exposed as a fraud), his lies about Selma and the Kennedys, his horrible voting record, his corrupt hospital, Michelle working for Treehouse, etc.

  41. Patrick Says:

Mr. Cooper, you seem very smug. Pride goes before a fall. You may get a big surprise.

  42. B Hudson Says:

Yep… more terrified good ole white boy fear mongering….

    Snap out of it, fool…

Wake up before the Obamazombies bodysnatch you away… oops, too late.

    GRRRRR…. must hate hillarrrry…. musstt hate hilllllarrryyy…. millary just hate…. hust…. mate…. tilllary…. mate… rust…. sillaryyy

Here lies Marc….. another obamazombie casualty…..

    ROTFLMAO

  43. KittyNc Says:

Wishful thinking on your part. I live in NC and I can tell you now, the Anointed One only wishes he would do as well as those arcane polls indicate. No way, no how. Do you honestly think people answer the polls candidly? I’m on the ground here and I can tell you they do not. Obama can only pray with his lunatic ‘former’ pastor that this lead is true. Because I know NC will not be the end of Hillary Clinton’s Campaign.

  44. SH Says:

I guess the typical Hillary bashing is going on here by old white men with small weenies.

You are supporting a candidate in Obama who cannot and will not win without women, because over 30% of them will defect to McCain. Who is the loser, now?

  45. B positive Says:

The only victim here is the one who penned the above article. Try looking at Hillary’s policy and solutions to America’s problems rather than being stuck in gutter of jealousy!

  46. Stu DeNimm Says:

whoa, obviously someone posted a link to this blog on an HRC list at around 1 PM today. Marc, I guess you won’t be getting that PR contract for Wal Mart.

  47. Russell Says:

Unlike at least one Obama supporter, possibly others, Hillary people are proud to sing “God BLESS America!” with feeling.

  48. More non-sense from Marc Says:

    Marc,

I have your 12-step recovery kit from the Obama mania from which you are suffering.

Also, there are some smelling salts for you in case you start feeling dizzy from the Obama charisma overdose. All items sold separately, of course.
You may want to pass them on to your friends also.

  49. Alyssa Moul Says:

There is no way I will ever cease fighting for Hillary. She is the better candidate of the two. Obama has no idea what he’s doing. Heck, he voted against his OWN economic plan (and so did the rest of the Senate).

Also, Hillary has more legislative accomplishments.

This is also verified by FactCheck.org.

  50. lin Says:

Marc, I understand your Hillary hate from up close and personal. You are as rabid as a mad dog on the subject of Hillary. Show a little grace and shut up on the subject. Because all you do is spill your crap into the universe for other peole to clean up.

  51. Linda Cicerchi Says:

No Obama will not win without the women’s vote I am not swooned by him. I also do not faint or drool before his presence “sweetie”.
I find him unimaginative in his policies and rather middle of the road if anything gets down to paper. I want a candidate to run the country. I don’t want a “movement” full of self loving platitudes for the narcissistic and totally clueless.

  52. NURSERATCHET Says:

YOU CAN WAKE UP NOW! IT WAS ALL JUST A BAD DREAM! HILLARY IS FINE! HILLARY IS GETTING DONATIONS EVERYDAY ON HER WEB SITE! HILLARY IS GETTING MORE SUPPORT FROM MEN NOW AS OBAMA WILL BE LOSING GROUND SHORTLY. WHY? U.S. DISTRICT COURT JUDGE HENRY KENNEDY, JR. HAS RULED IN FAVOR OF LARRY SINCLAIR’S MOTION FOR DISCOVERY. WHAT WILL THIS MEAN FOR OBAMA? STAY TUNED!

  53. HS Says:

    Marc:
“Zombie” is a better term for the Obama crew following their guru than it is for Hillary’s informed supporters. Don’t you think the Obama “HOPE” poster says it all?- it looks like a sixties psychedelic album cover. Everybody must get stoned.

  54. Sandy in PA Says:

Just google OBS – Obama Bedazzlement Syndrome. Marc is a victim, along with so many other suckers. They think he’s some kind of rock star. Grow up, guys. You actually need to be qualified to be president.

  55. Veronica in CA Says:

Wow, Marc. You’re really sliding, here.

Don’t diminish yourself by writing things like this.

  56. jls220 Says:

Half of the democratic party has been hypnotized by a very charasmatic speaker. The comparisons to MLK are so over the top. Does anyone “really”know this man. I dare say we don’t and asking Hillary to drop out before we have heard the whole country is outrageous. We need to allow her to run her race because I am hoping some of us wake up from our hypnotic state and remember she is the best person suited for the Presidency.

  57. Michael Crosby Says:

    Yikes. HRC has a cyber-Luftwaffe.

How fortunate that they are all offering positive, rational arguments for their candidate.

She should stay in the race but shut down the auto-response attack machine.

  58. Roger Says:

Old news, old smears, old bashing. Yawning…….So you are a O-bot big deal! Put some grateful dead on and cue up one of your cult leaders videos or one of his spiritual advisers tapes and sip more of that electric kool aid.

GO HILLARY! THE ONLY REAL PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

  59. Woody Says:

Does Hillary want Pres. Bush to send troops to Tibet to throw out the oppressors? Maybe we should arm the monks like we did the freedom fighters in Afghanistan. I only wish that we knew what her final position would be now.

  60. Katherine J. Says:

How nice of you to resort to name calling. Even Obama knows that he will need Hillary’s supporters if he wins the nomination. Go ahead, call everyone names, but in the end Obama seems to much like Bush to me.

*Yawn* Get some real news please. Oh wait, don’t want to talk about Obama’s lie hm?

  61. Ramona Acord Says:

It is amazing to me the petty, vindicative nature of some people. Does this person actually feel gleeful when someone else gets in trouble. Maybe the Clintons are personafied evil. No wait! Bill Clinton was president during one of the most prosperous economic times in our history. Maybe Hillary is so evil that this manical glee at problems with Mark Penn that anyone would rejoice in her troubles. No wait! She spent her life in public service, as first lady of both Arkansas and The United States of America. Wait, maybe she was a horrible senator from New York. Again, wrong there, she was reelected with a larger majority that her first win as a senator. Maybe it really boils down to a person who is mean-spirited and jealous of the Clinton’s success. There is a lot of that going around. Bill Clinton brought the Democratic party to the center and actually tried to work for the majority of people in our country. Hillary has shown the same dedication to advocating for the “real working” people of the United States.

  62. AISHA Says:

As much as you guys want to knock her out of the race it’s not going to happen. What are you guys afraid of? That she probably will win?If this race is supposedly over, why is Obama spending so much money on advertising and getting his surrogates to attack her? I guess you realize More than likely she will end up leading in the popular vote. Is that why Obama opposed the revote in Mich. and the counting of the fla. vote? As far as her supporting the colombian trade deal, I can’t believe you are so threatened you are resorting to blatant lies. If you want to talk about who the canidates surround themselves with let’s discuss Rezko and Wright. She might be down In North Carolina, but you neglect to mention she is up in Pa, Indiana, kentucky and west virginia.
You typical Hillary haters are really starting to bore us. People see right through you.

  70. Mavis Beacon Says:

Wowsa. That’s is a crushing response from the Clinton crowd. I see why they don’t have a problem with Marc Penn – they all think like him. Obama’s a racist or a fearmonger and an empty suit and he plagiarizes his policies (plagiarizes policies? What does that even mean?) and on and on. I don’t think one person in the whole crew made a positive case for Hilary Clinton and her vision for the country. But I guess that’s the way modern American politics goes.

  73. Wyoming Dem Says:

There are at least three petitions going around, each with several thousand signatures (one had over 11,000) of Democrats that WILL NOT vote for Barack Obama should he be the nominee but will vote for John McCain. In addition, the petitions state that those signing will NOT contribute to the DNC and that they will be switching their party affiliation to Independant. I am one of these people who will NOT tolerate the DNC & the mindless mainstream media cram Barack Obama down our collective throats. Say anything you want but be prepared…Obama cannot beat McCaine which is why the Republicans and the mainstream media which is OWNED by Republicans is so anxious to further the Barack Obama cause. Just keep it in mind.

  74. roger thomas Says:

I’m really unimpressed by the article, but I’m extremely impressed by the comments by the supporters of Senator Clinton.
I’ve also noticed that Obama says he’s against afirmative action, but want to be president even though he’s not qualified and the other candidates are–sounds like affirmative action to me.

  75. yael Says:

These fear tactics of scarcity are bad politics and bad for America. Hillary not only should stay in the race, we Need her to stay in, and win. The Republican machinery has done their worst to HRC, they will chew Obama up and spit him out.

  76. Sandy in PA Says:

Mavis–please read. I know its not a requirement to be an Obama supporter, but you might want to try it and save yourself some embarassment. Comebacks like “I don’t think one person in the whole crew made a positive case for Hilary Clinton and her vision for the country. But I guess that’s the way modern American politics goes.” do not come from informed people who actually read the posts they are referencing. Knowledge is power. Please go arm yourself.

And, by the way – her name is spelled with two Ls. It is HiLLary, not Hilary.

Come back when you can spell her name.

  79. Ramona Acord Says:

In Response to Geri Wiltshire Says: Hey what a wonderful idea! I think you are onto something. Hillary as an independent! ( If the super delegates are so stupid as to cut off the Democratic Party’s nose to spite itself.) They haven’t yet understood that the majority of traditional Democratic states are for Hillary. Why do they persist in trying to betray their base. Well with your idea, maybe the base can show them! My backup plan was to write Hillary in come November, but this movement would be even better. Maybe the rest of the Democratic base, the black vote, needs to re-examine their loyalty to their true friends. Do they really want to be known as supporting Reverend Wright’s philosophy and rantings. I know that my black friends are Christians and they, not Obama, would refuse to sit and let their children listen to the hate spewing from Wright’s mouth each Sunday. Christians believe in Love, not hate. There are plenty of excellent black candidates with proven records and integrity who would make a wonderful “first black president”. Listen to the speeches made at the State of Black America Convention in New Orleans this year. You will hear such men and women. Senator Obama is not that man. He didn’t even have the courage to speak there; his “brilliant” speech, made after he got caught, might have been truly awesome there. It happened before he was caught, so would not have been given to get himself out of the spotlight about Reverend Wright and his lies concerning not hearing FOR 20 YEARS!!!

Senator Clinton is one tough lady. Every time the dust settles and the smoke clears from a fresh attack or accusation, she’s still standing with calm patient dignity, brushing off the debris. She’s indestructable. That extends to situations like this, too. She fires an advisor, she’s still standing. She runs low on money, she’s gets more. You can laugh all you like, but while you do, notice that despite all the hardships, despite being handed many excuses to quit, despite all the fatigue, scrutiny and abuse, she’s still there, stronger than ever.

From his bio, Marc Cooper used to a journalist… actually looked at FACTS not cherry-picked and distorted whatever was convenient. The only thing you can take away from this is that Marc Cooper is a sad, bitter man. Or is that just the schtick he uses to sell his blog? Mark Penn (a man) screwed up at work and so Clinton, a woman and his boss, fired him. How does that make her a victim? Or is that really the part the makes Cooper so angry?

  84. LTaylor Says:

Don’t count the lady out yet. I haven’t voted yet, and by damn it’s gonna count, but not where you want it to go buddy boy! The good ole boy days are over you media morons.
Take a look at the darling Barry’s MuslimsforObama08…..then google Muslims for Obama…….even radical muslims for Obama!
Actually, I think all the media men and some women attended Wright’s church. Where else would they have learned all this hate? I took Journalism is college, and I was never taught to interview or write columns like this. I was taught to write the truth. Or the who, what why, where , and when….I didn’t see the why.

  85. Ross C. "Bubba" Nicholson Says:

Senator Barak Obama is related to one of the most prestigious extended families in Africa, here is a brief summary of their exploits in modern times:

Raila Amolo Odinga, Prime Minister of Kenya, son of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, and first cousin of Barak Obama, cabinent member, candidate for President in 2007, he was denied the presidency by massive voter fraud. He instigated civil disturbances, which killed thousands and uprooted hundreds of thousands of people during the riots. UN and USA sponsored peace now reigns in Kenya after the massive bloodshed. Years before he was arrested multiple times for treason and objecting to unfair elections. He drew record attendance at rallies, 450,000 at one. He promised to allow Sharia law for Muslims if elected and to end discrimination against them.

Tom Mboya, Kenyan minister for economic planning and development and a possible Kenya presidential contender, assassinated 1969

Joseph Kony, head of the rebel Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda, a guerrilla group supported by Sudan engaged in a violent campaign to establish a theocratic government in Uganda based on the Bible and the Ten Commandments. The LRA has abducted an estimated 60,000 children since its ongoing rebellion began in 1987 for rape and child soldiers. The LRA has been declared a terrorist group and Josephy Kony, a terrorist by the United States government. Kony is currently wanted to answer 33 charges. 12 counts are crimes against humanity: murder, enslavement, sexual enslavement, and rape. 21 are war crimes including murder, cruel treatment of civilians, intentional attacks against civilians, pillaging, inducing rape, and forced enlisting of children into the LRA ranks. Kony denies all charges and rebels still. Kony has 27 to 50 ‘wives’, mostly abducted girls.

Milton Obote, former prime minister and president of Uganda, overthrown by Idi Amin in 1971 but regained power in 1980. Earlier Obote was implicated in a gold smuggling plot together with Idi Amin. When the parliament objected, Obote suspended the constitution, declared himself President with almost unlimited power. He arrested cabinet members without charge. When a state seceded after Obote’s constitutional nullification, he attacked the state with his army and committed the Luwero Triangle massacres. His second rule was marred by repression, and the deaths of many civilians as a result of a civil war known as the Ugandan Bush War. He banned all opposition political parties and nationalized all major private corporations and banks. When Obote’s Uganda People’s Congress Party won the 1980 elections, a guerrilla rebellion broke out, leading to the deaths of 100,000 people. He died in 2005 in exile.

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, VP of Kenya, revered as Ker for strengthening the union between Luo people in the whole of East Africa. Arrested in 1969 after verbally abusing the president of Kenya at a function where at least 11 people were killed and dozens injured in riots.

Tito Okello, military dictator of Uganda, calling himself president of Uganda. Ruled six months and was overthrown. His brother was kidnapped by Joseph Kony and the LRA.

Oh one other thing all you guys go to youtube and check out the one mad bitch. It tells it all. It is ugly until it gets beautiful…..One of the most inspiring videos I have ever seen. Rate it. It had almost two thousand hits and just went on today… A truly wonderful tribute to this great lady HILLARY CLINTON!

I know it is awful the people he is connected to. One of those muslim sites is acutally owned by AlJAZEERA and they are supporting him. It is muslims.net. We all know who ALJAZEERA is OSAMA BIN LADINS mouthpiece!

  88. Wm Stoup Says:

  89. Woody Says:

BJWL: …Marc Cooper used to a journalist… actually looked at FACTS not cherry-picked and distorted whatever was convenient.

Why, that should qualify him to be a lead journalist for the NY Times or LA Times.

  90. Patti Says:

I watched MSNBC and FOX bash Hillary all day long. I’m sick of the media focusing on Hillary when Obama has Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground, Tony Rezko, etc., etc. to “uncover.”

We need a President who has the experience and know how to fix all the problems and get us back on track. Obama is running on “words” of change but no substance to back them up.

  91. Woody Says:

SH: I guess the typical Hillary bashing is going on here by old white men with small weenies.

I don’t want anyone insulting my fellow commenters, despite their shortcomings. It appears that Hillary’s dykes have become callous from the rejections of men.

  92. RoseMarie Pasmantier, MD, FACE Says:

Senator Clinton is running on her record of achievements over a 35 year career of service. Her work on establishing the SCHIP childrens health care program and her bill cosponsored with Sen Frist on modernizing healthcare with electronic prescribing and health records are examples of her expertise in healthcare. Americans deserve Universal HealthcareI and as a physician I am proud to be a supporter of Senator Clinton. I look forward to casting my vote for president for her in November and to her inauguration next January.

  93. Donna Says:

Enough is enough with the sexist talk and biased reporting!! Hillary’s campaign is alive and well and
thriving in spite of all your unfair and distasteful gender bashing!

  94. Marla Coradi Says:

    Geez Bubba,
I am blown away by this list of relatives. I thought he was sneaky before, now I am terrified. Where did you verify this information?

  95. Deborah Says:

Politics in America is in pretty bad shape if revelations that a candidate has recently sold a lot of books and is therefore well off suddenly causes her poll numbers to drop, while another candidate weathers news that he has support from known bigots. Hillary has been quick to show troubling colleagues the exit and she gets penalized, while Barack Obama is praised for maintaining his troubled connections.

The result is that we could end up losing the presidency altogether because the press and blogging world has demonized someone who has an excellent understanding of policy and has demonstrated the ability to work across the aisle, while building up a talented, but inexperienced candidate who may cause the electorate to balk when push comes to shove in November. I have been waiting for months for policies to be discussed to the extent they were before the primaries (that is why Hillary Clinton was the frontrunner), but it looks like that is no longer a part of American politics. Too bad.

  96. Woody Says:

    Last one….

Rose, MD: Americans deserve Universal Healthcare

    Who’s “Right”

Among the rights guaranteed (not “given” as Bill Clinton believes) to you in our Constitution are:

    Freedom of religion
    Freedom of speech
    The right to peaceably assemble.
The right to petition the government
The right to keep and bear arms
The right to be free of unreasonable searches and seizures
    Protection from double jeopardy
    Due process
A speedy and public trial by jury
The right to legal counsel when charged with a crime

With one exception, the right to representation in court and a trial by jury, these rights require nothing of any other citizen but that they recognize your rights and not interfere with them.

Your “right to health care” would require some other person to give up a portion of their life or their property to either treat you or to provide you with drugs or medical implements. The Constitution does not provide for another individual to be indentured to you in this manner.

Therefore, you have no “right” to health care.

    Deal with it.

Marc, you’re being swamped with mad women, and they are their friends to come scream at you, too. Please make your next post “for men only,” so that we can stop the screeching.

  97. Samuel Says:

Wow, this is one heckuva Hilary vanguard here, however incoherent. I’m a regular at this site, voted for Bubba Clinton twice, and would never support the republican party. But you Hillary trolls do nothing to help your “cause” by posting such nonsense. If anything, you just make me more convinced that Hillary would be a terrible presidential candidate.

GoBama! (Not ‘Bama, Woodster–I bleed Bruin blue).

  98. Andrea Says:

What was the point of this post? Is there any information or actual argument being offered, except to take cheap, sexist (”clucking”??) shots at Clinton supporters. It seems that no matter what happens in the Clinton campaign, Obama supporters are SURE that this time, it really is impending doom for Senator Clinton. They cackle, and gloat, and despite their public preening and self-congratulatory chest-thumping…Senator Clinton just won’t lose.
That’s because 50% of the Democratic electorate believe that she is the best candidate.
It pains me to see so-called progressives demonizing a
talented politician with an extraordinary command of public policy. You go ahead and buy your crepe. If it diverts your money away from the Obama camp I’ll consider it money well spent.

  99. Jenn Says:

    Give me a break!

I am glad Marc was asked to decist because his dealings with Columbia. The fact still remains that it is Obama who has a criminal past. His associations with the racist Rev. Wright, the disgraced Tony Rezko, and the self-proclaimed Pentagon terrorist, William C. Ayers are evident.

Of course, yesterday, a Washington DC Judge Henry Kennedy, who presides over District Court in Washington, D.C., has granted Larry Sinclair’s motion for discovery and signed an order for subpoenas regarding Sinclair’s defamation lawsuit against three Internet posters.

Sinclair filed suit in March against the posters, whom, he claims, made up and spread lies about his mental state and character after he posted allegations about Sen. Barack Obama in January on YouTube. Sinclair claims to have used drugs and had sex with Obama in 1999.

The individuals Sinclair is suing have registered accounts at DemocraticUnderground.com, YouTube.com, and Digg.com, although their real names are not yet known. They are currently listed in the suit by their screen names: TubeSockTedD, mzmolly and OWNINGLIARS. Sinclair is seeking $3 million in damages. This may probably one of the reasons why Hillary is staying in the race because everyone is waiting to see if Obama will implode.

So, do not count your chickens before they hatch. More dirt is coming out of Hussein Obama. All you have to do is to look at:

  100. Randy Paul Says:

I am glad Marc was asked to decist because his dealings with Columbia.

Marc, I didn’t know you had to remove a cyst from an Ivy League university!

Man that Hillary troll army is gassy!

  101. susiewat Says:

Maybe you Obama supporters should educate yourselves – not all Hillary supporters are dykes, not all are women – there are a lot of smart men out there too that don’t want a POTUS that pulls the race card anytime he’s asked a question that he can’t answer, such as “What happened to your records when you were in the Illinois Senate?” Why did you vote “present” 130 times in the Illinois Senate? Why did you choose to spend 20 years listening to a bigotted fool spouting hate whitey messages from the pulpit and why did you let your children listen to the same hate messages? Why do you say that you don’t want your daughter to be “punished” with a baby if she got pregnant? Why did your wife get a hefty raise when you were elected to the Illinois Senate?Really, where is all your money coming from? And remember, like Sandy in PA says – that’s HILLARY with two L’s!

  102. Susanclare Says:

Of course, this is a secret…
Hillary is depending on a very unique source for her support – THE PEOPLE. I’s sure someone will find a reason to criticize her for that. Mark Penn erred and is no longer a big player in her campaign. But us folks, we’re still here. And we are not standing down!!! Rise, Hillary, Rise. (I love you, Maya A.)

  103. Steve (NEPA for Clinton) Says:

The joke will be on you buddy. Most of her supporters have always disliked Penn and have blamed him for the low points of her campaign. Getting rid of Penn immediately was what Obama should have done with Wright. Instead he lied about it for a few days before being forced to give his distraction…i mean speech…on race. I hand it to the guy…because after he spoke his followers forgot he lied. Obama is a duplicitous career politician who has yet to be truly vetted. Clinton will win PA (I am a native and no matter what they try to tell you, she will win BIG in this state and eventually overtake the nomination. Firing Mark Penn was one of the best things she could do for her campaign.

  104. Tyra Marts Says:

Wow, the article must have been written by another Obama fan. Since I’ve been following this campaign I’ve heard nothing from the Obama fans other than lude, crude, and rude comments. I believe if the Obama fans are trying to convert voters, they’re not doing a good job. However, I will tell you what I truly believe in. I believe in God, I believe in our children the born and the unborn, I believe in our Country, and I also believe GOD WILL PREVAIL. You GO HILLARY, STAY IN THERE. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

  105. Phillip Johns Says:

The Center for Responsive Politics says Obama has now spent about $1.7 million on super-delegates (and of course nobody really knows WHERE all his money comes from)

If MI and FL are counted (and they WILL be counted-how can you punish Democrats of states where Republican legislatures moved the primaries?)-she is only behind by 3,000 votes. All you Obaminations keep talking about how she can’t win & should drop out–right before the contest where she’s supposed to wipe the floor with your guy Obama–a little self-serving? And you know what: without the superdelegates–HE CAN’T WIN EITHER.

Now, that this whole Rev. Wright thing & Rev. James Meeks & then the Obama/Odinga (it’s not a good thing to campaign for your Kenyan cousin when his supporters torch churches burning people alive)—

and now, we find out that whole “never been a muslim” thing is a LIE–turns out in his book Obama talks about “getting in trouble for making faces during Koranic Studies” and NYTimes Bill Kristol reported in 3/6/207 “Obama: Man of The World” that “Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Muslim call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate [Arabic] accent.”
    OUCH!
All those folks in the red states are wanting their votes back!!

Oh….the sexism in this Country is out of control! Blacks think racism is bad…try being White and Female! Now that’s a double wammy!! I’m thrilled at Penn’s exit. Shake it up Baby!!

  107. Rob Grocholski Says:

Marc, you’re such a humanitarian! How nice of you to offer your help in arranging the funeral…:)
When the news broke that Penn was out, I thought, “Well, this it. It’s over but the concession speech.” As a member of the political consulting trades, as one who’s helped along a few winners and cried in my beer for many losers, I’ve had the unmistakable smell of a sinking campaign ship too close to my nostrils: Sinking polls, money problems, candidate gaffes, staff wondering about pay, persnickety venders wondering about pay, distracted advisors running ’side bets’ — Senator Clinton has ‘em all. All she’s got left is a vocal brigade of bitter dead-enders and shows in the comments section here tonight…
A role of black crepe for me, sir!

    Kansas tonight in a squeaker…..

  108. Emily, Atlanta, GA Says:

Mr. Cooper, you forgot to mention that despite all the attempts to make poor Hillary Clinton a victim, she is still standing. It seems that the media has so far failed, time after time, “scandals” after scandals, to make Hillary Clinton a victim.
Remember New Hampshire? Super Tuesday? “Last-stand” Texas and Ohio? Journalists have predicted defeat ever since she ran for the Senate, and so far you all have to eat your shoes.
Despite all the baggage from her past that you so carefully cherry-picked, somehow people still turn out in strong numbers for her. Go ahead and call the majority of women, blue-collars, Latino, Asian, and baby boomers “zombies.” We have heard worse, and we no longer care about your depraved rants.
One more thing. Some of us are glad that Mark Penn left because his work was a conflict of interest. We are glad that Hillary showed backbone in this matter. We have been waiting for Obama’s side to do the same with Naftagate-Goolsbee and Subprime-Pritzker. Will you cover that, Mr. Cooper? Or do you admire Obama’s strong stance in hypocrisy too much?

  109. reg Says:

Wow – this last series of comments were like watching The Night of the Living Dead…

  110. Marc Cooper » Blog Archive » Hill’s Angels Says:

[...] to have some fun? Or, shall we say, something like fun — but different. Then click here and paw through the droppings left on our comments door step by a flock of Hillaryite cyber-angels. [...]

  111. Susan Dean Says:

Just wondering…are you a “He She” or a “She He”????………WAKE UP WHATEVER YOU ARE AND try working for a living like the rest of us….I’m sure you’d change your views.

  112. Woody Says:

Typical White Girl: Blacks think racism is bad…try being White and Female! Now that’s a double wammy!!

I had to stifle a laugh. Straight, white, Protestant, taxpaying, responsible, pro-business males, especially from the South, have no affirimative action or special laws, they are attacked and blamed all the time, are expected to pay for everything, and yet complain the least. Oh, my heart bleeds for you victims.

  113. Smmmj Says:

get a real job cooper… and then go play with yourself and all these other whining men. you will NEVER be able to compete on the same level as Senator Clinton or any WOMAN!

  114. carol Says:

I don’t know whether to laugh uproariously or to cry copiously at the assinine remarks of Marc cooper and all of you poor simple BO supporters. I think that I’ll just pity all of you instead, because you really have cause to be pitied.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t need any of you simpletons to speak to the success or failure of her character, or her life. People a whole lot wiser, and much more astute than anyone I’ve heard speak against her in this article- and in this blog- will one day read of her genius in the history books. And more likely than not, historically, she’ll be remembered as Madame President Hillary Clinton.
She doesn’t need the approval of any of you to achieve this either. She has proven all her life that she is strong enough and intelligent enough to rise above the inconsequentual and inane blatherings of small minds.
My fondest memory of this election will be the deafening sound of the collective POP!!! that will be heard all over America as all the jealous, petty, racist, and misogyinist Obama supporters pull their heads from his a-s when Hillary becomes President!

  115. Rob Grocholski Says:

    What a gem:

“She doesn’t need the approval of any of you to achieve this either. She has proven all her life that she is strong enough and intelligent enough to rise above the inconsequentual and inane blatherings of small minds.
My fondest memory of this election will be the deafening sound of the collective POP!!! that will be heard all over America as all the jealous, petty, racist, and misogyinist Obama supporters pull their heads from his a-s when Hillary becomes President!”

Thanks Carol. You’ve really convinced a lot of Democratic-leaning readers that Clinton will be able to unite the party against the Republicans this fall.

  116. Jessica Says:

Hillary have my vote and money!
    She will win no matter!

  117. Mark, Iowa Says:

We will support Hillary to the end! We will see Obama drop out, not Hillary!
    Hillary, 2008!

  118. Jameson Says:

There are a lot of comments from people that got the “Hillary Rapid Responders” email here.

I’m sure it’s fun to keep wishing for a miracle, but I feel terrible for the hangover that’s going to come in the morning. I’m not being mean-spirited here, just doing the math.

If Hillary wins by 30 points in PA, and by 20 points in every other state, she still will be behind in delegates. Where will the magic votes come from?

  119. lynda Says:

It’s amazing that people only want to look at the negative, unless of course it is about Obama. Richardson is scum, and could not even deliever his own state for Obama (and he tried). Now he has cast his super deligate vote against what his state has voted for in public vote and what most delegates have stated they would cast thier votes for. Has that been reported, I haven’t seen it. Hillary all the way or we will have to go with McCain. Obama is too dangerous.

  120. e Says:

    Hillary Hillary Hillary Hillary!

    Hillary!!!!!

    Two LLs!

  121. Clifton Says:

This is just more political cannon fodder during the primary season. Obama has more luggage than the Denver airport, it is just now coming to light in dribs and drabs. His campaign is run by lobbyists and yet he speaks of change and hope. Well, anyone who wins in November will bring change and the only hope is that it wont be another disaster like in 2000 and 2004 with stolen elections. The bottom line is he is charismatic and makes great speeches…so did Hitler. While I am NOT comparing him to Hitler, the context remains… he has no proven record of Federal civil service (half of his Freshman Senate term has been spent campaigning for presidency) and no executive experience. Very dangerous no matter what he says. Very disingenuous to say that he was against the war all along since sending Federal troops is not subject to debate at the state level in Springfield or any other state capitol.

  122. Chileno Says:

    >>>Typical White Girl: Blacks think racism is bad…try being White and Female! Now that’s a double wammy!!

Seems like more confirmation that everything from the Clinton camp and its martyrs is gospel, according to this pack of imprecise pitbulls. The absurd notion of a “white victim” used to be limited to conservative wingnuts like Woody but now it’s become standard fare for some Clinton Democrats, it seems, most notoriously when Geraldine Ferraro advanced the notion that she’s being victimized for being white during her disgraceful spiraling out of the campaign.

If this trend of sanctifying the words and ways of Clinton martyrs continues, we’ll soon discover that a Columbian FTA was the Right Thing all along.

  123. jodie Baker Says:

You know, Marc, if I were a guy planning to send “black crepe” anywhere, I’d refrain from insulting females by referring to anyone “clucking”. Obviously you are not the political know-it-all you believe yourself to be or you would have been able to make some semblance of a cogent point without female bashing. Tell Chris Matthews hi for me. Do you have tingles running up your thighs for Obama, too?
Man, you guys must be getting desperate. The venom is getting stronger. Be proud, and be very afraid. Your boy’s going down.

  124. Woody Says:

Jameson: If Hillary wins by 30 points in PA, and by 20 points in every other state, she still will be behind in delegates. Where will the magic votes come from?

Girls never were good at math. – How it Works

  125. JoeySky Says:

Hillary is going to win the nomination. And after she get over the hurdle of the undemocratic-nomination of the Democratic Party, she will win the general election in a landslide. And the morning after the nomination, all the pundit, the talking heads on MSM, the Clintons haters will scratch their head and proclaim in unison “BUT SHE CAN’T”.

Judas Richardson will try to start a new career as real estate developer in New Mexico. Kennedy and Kerry will send the olive branch to the Clintons and say we are always friend. John Edwards will be knighted as the poverty czar and on his path to the 45th president. Barack Obama will spend a long time deal with reality and find his footing again in DC. It is not Hillary that bet her whole career in this election, but it’s Barack Obama that bet the future of his whole career. He should have spent a few years scratch off Rezko & Wright out of his past. He would have an easy road to the 45th president. It will all be played out. And the Shakespeare tragedy will be a sweater ending for Barack than the reality of election 2008.

  126. Marla Coradi Says:

Please order a really big box of crepe paper and wrap your head in it!

  127. jyotinc Says:

This only shows how Hillary will handle a situation if she’s a supervisor. She’ll give you a chance to amend, but if you have a gigantic ego like Penn… out in the gutter. Don’t mess up with my president!

  128. Rob Grocholski Says:

Ah ha. Called it back at 6:26. Kansas got it. Squeaker included.

Of course my basketball prediction has no bearing whatsoever on the election cycle. Everyone can now carry on with their uncompromising rhetoric.

My candidate is great. Yours sucks.

  129. Jim R Says:

Okay Eve, you weren’t being facetious. I was mistaken. Now please call off your warriors.

Marc, I hope you patted them down for weapons before letting them in.

  130. Janice Says:

Some newscasters have clearly displayed who they are for and it sure does not seem to be Hillary. Thank you to those who do support her. If these people really sat down and did some research they might vote for her too. Most people who don’t like her don’t even know her. They just believe what they are told. Call off the dogs!! Hillary for President!!

Research Obama a little bit more throughly and you might change your mind.

  131. Hillary AllTheWay Says:

At least this Zombie is smart enough to realize Dean, Dodd and the boyz club of Washington want someone they can push around.

  132. Hillary AllTheWay Says:

To call her “poor victimized”, only proves your sexist.

  133. Jim R Says:

    And a redneck too.

  134. Christopher Says:

Please don’t believe everything you see on the news. I know you thought your Stophernow.com campaign worked. It won’t. She will this primary, irregardeless of your comments.
    hris

  135. Ramona Acord Says:

Do the Math: Are you buying the bias of the media toward Obama?
Where will the votes come from to nominate Hillary – why the super delegates!! If there is not person winning enough votes to be nominated by the primary then, They are suppose to choose the “best” candidate for the party and our country. By convention time, I’m sure all us Hillary supporters will convince them that if they want to save the party, they had better look at their base states who went for Hillary. The bias media are trying to convince all of us to give up and let Barack pull his stunt with Caucuses in Red States, etc., etc., Duh!! Isn’t it obvious that we need to bombard these wimpy super delegates with the facts of politics. You don’t mess with your base, period!

  136. Michael Turmon Says:

OK, that was worth a read. Repetitive, but every time I tried to stop there would be a new angle, like those long-lost African relatives.

  137. HillaryShmillary Says:

Mr. Cooper, please let me thank you without a hint of irony for this public service of yours…Hillary and her ilk’s time has passed, we played their game and lost lost lost.

Hillary’s cry-baby, screaming 70s femmie campaign fed by corporate whore dollars and the lying class that gave us the Iraq war she so cynically voted for in classic Clintonian fashion is failing and it’s getting its ass kicked by over a million small donors who are tired of her crapola.

Hillary needs to sit down, shut up, and count her lobbyist dollars and her hubby’s millionz.

  138. Bill Bradley Says:

I see Hillary has her own crew of nitwit zealots. At least as bad as the Obamaniacs.

    Most amusing.

  139. monique Says:

Mr. Cooper, you sound like one sick jerk. You sound evil and just downright mean.

What is wrong with you? You call her supporters zombies? Why don’t you grow up? You sound like the jerk we all knew in high school who was just so insecure and pathetic, that he had to pick on the girls to make himself feel better.

How old are you? You really should seek out some help. I strongly support Hillary, but I would never utter such horrible, mean-spirited things about her opponent or his supporters. Get a life.

Seriously, you sound like you have a problem.

  140. Jay Says:

Well, well, well. Yet another person who believes the nomination belongs to the person who everyone hasn’t voted for during the primary season. There is a reason we live in a democracy. There is a reason that people have freedom of speech and freedom of press in this country. There is a reason, albeit initially not the best, that our military puts their lives on the line everyday. That reason is my vote, my right to vote, and the right for my vote to count. Wait until all of us have spoken, then, if your annointed savior has legitimately won the nomination, start trashing McCain, the one who deserves your negativity in reality.

  141. keicha Says:

I am still and will continue to support Senator Clinton.
She is still our best choice for President.
If you all could give a fair and accurate account of what is happening instead of biased and sexist reporting, she wouldn’t have to fight everyone. I am glad this is a democracy and this race will be decided by american voters and not by the pundits who have made their choice abundantly clear by giving Senator Obama a free ride.

Senator Clinton the best choice for president

  142. Hanna Says:

This is a good example of how divisive the Obama campaign is. This is par tof why I along with 37% of Hillary supporters will not support Obama should he be the nominee. There is a really dangerous undercurrent central to Obama’s campaign – to malign, distort and degrade anyone in opposition to them. Sounds eerily like the early Hitler days. What a disgrace of a campaign he is running.

  143. jcummings Says:

    William Ayers is a hero

  144. richard locicero Says:

    Sounds like plagiarizing Jesus.

  148. Anastacia Wilde Says:

It is always easier to criticize and rail against someone that to write an intelligent comment. Marc Cooper is not a writer but a spewer of hate. It is people like him who propagate the divisiveness of this election and will eventually bring the downfall of the Democratic Party. I am getting so turned off to the Hillary bashing! Remind anyone of the Middle Ages when women were dragged off and burned by ranting male priests who then went home and prayed for their sins?
HRC is the best candidate in the running and she has my absolute trust and confidence. Hillary 08!

  149. Anastacia Wilde Says:

  151. Stu DeNimm Says:

So sensitive to perceived sexism, so obtuse to what could be perceived as racism.

If an IQ test were required for voting, Hillary’s base would vaporize (that is, if these latest commentards are at all representative).

  153. jim hitchcock Says:

  154. richard locicero Says:

    “{Weatherpeople” Stu. Mustn’t be sexist!

  155. Goforit Says:

Enough Hillary bashing, it’s getting old.

You seem afraid of what Hillary might achieve by staying in the race so you constantly criticize everyone and everything associated with her. Do you think it’s working? No way!

Start focusing on Obama’s shady dealings and relationships… then we can begin to have a real conversation!!

    GO HILLARY!

  156. Gloria Says:

Gee People, I seem to have heard a very important quote somewhere, Oh, I know it was in school, wasn’t it.

This is a Government OF the People, FOR the People and BY the People.

It’s not over my friends, until ALL the people get a chance to have their votes counted. That means ALL the States, ALL the votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  158. Stu DeNimm Says:

  159. Randy Paul Says:

You’re much older than I thought!

  160. Dan & Kathy Kraft Says:

Folks, it amazes me that you ‘guys’ keep telling her to drop out. It would be like telling Obama to drop out right before his big states. You can bet that IF the media were telling Obama to drop out, under similar circumstances, that would never ever happen AND — it would be touted as racially motivated. She needs to stay in period and the more folks like you, who push for this and treat her poorly in the media, the most this Democrate feels a backlash coming on!

  161. katleep Says:

What trash. Why would you care if Hillary stays in, you’re going to vote for McCain.

  162. Stu DeNimm Says:

    >What trash. Why would you care if
    >Hillary stays in, you’re going to
    >vote for McCain.

Katleep, this is a free forum, but you kinda should make at least some minimal effort to find out the views of the people you are arguing against…

  163. Sergio Says:

Wow, what a bombardment. It’s so neat to know that ” house party” was effected for the few dozen Shillary “supporters”. They all sat down at computers and typed out similar stuff fed to them by her demoralized campaign staff. I note many of them were really active at 2:41 PM. I guess the Chines fortune cookies started running out after then.

  164. richard locicero Says:

    Anyone seen Taylor Marsh?

  165. Susan Says:

Now, let’ look at the facts. What exactly has Hillary done to generate such fear mongering, paranoia in this country. ‘

Hmmm…when Bill was elected President as a female lawyer I looked at Hillary resume and said SHE should have been the one to run for President! That was before the White House!

She endured a White House with much more involvement than prior first ladies and did it despite a horrific personal tragedy whilte raising an incredible daughter. So many like to paint her with the same brush as her husband for his flaws and yet still claim that she can’t claim any of his good accomplishments. Hippocrities!

Look at her time in the Senate. The Republican senators despised her when she came on board. Now, they respect here immensely.

It looks to like the ones spinning the stories into paranoia and hate are the Obamaphites. Why? Because the bset defense is a good offense. Obama has a lot to hide. He grew up in a Muslim country, was schooled in a Muslimm school, went to Pakistan during college, like many terrorits have done and voted against the war in sympathy for a Muslim country.

If I were Obama, I would use Oprah’s money to convince the world that Hillary is horrible too! Otherwise, I might find my egotistical arrongant elitist entilement dreams dashed.

For the sake of this country, I pray that Obama is not elected. He will make Bush look like a good President!

As an attorney, who has taken an oath to defend and support this country, I cannot cast my vote for this traitor. I would be betraying my country, my children and my conscience.

  166. Michael Balter Says:

It’s too bad Marc doesn’t sell ads on his blog, all this traffic would be good for business.

  167. Woody Says:

What kind of ads…medication for PMS?

  168. Lynda Says:

Hang the black crepe if an American hating, racist, inept mouthpiece devoid of originality gains the White House! It would be better to have a seasoned, patriotic McCain than an inexperienced, double-speaking Obama in the White House!

After Wright’s tirades became generally known, Obama’s chances for cross-over votes went to zero. However, his ability to turn off Democratic Clinton supporters soared.

Hillary dead? She’s our best hope out of this mess! If you guys could get over your fear of women long enough to look at the FACTS instead of just anatomy, you’d realize Clinton is the best candidate for democrats and the best general candidate for fixing our many national ills.

P.S. To many of you here, I am ashamed at your female bashing. Do you not have grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters, wives, girlfriends, daughters, nieces? How dare you characterize all females as inept and emotionally unstable? I’d like to send your remarks to every woman in your life whether through relation or in the workplace. My prayer is that none of you have children to scar. My second prayer is that none of you do the physical harm that your emotional tirade against women suggests you are capable of.

  169. Lynda Says:

If Hillary has crashed, why is Obama afraid to let Florida and Michigan voters have a say?

  170. Randy Paul Says:

Trust me, if these are the kinds of people that Hillary attracts, then there should be no remaining doubts among the wingnut right: Vince Foster did commit suicide.

  171. Brandon Says:

    Mr. Cooper,

Your article shows your abject shallowness of mind. You’d be better served working as a cook at a Waffle House, but, then, you might poison people you hated, so no.

Despite your stupidity, Hillary Clinton will be the next president.

  172. Oso Raro Says:

I am absolutely horrified at this comment thread. That’s all.

  173. Sharon Wolson Says:

This Florida Democratic is appalled at all the so called journalists that say she is “crashing” “out of it” and “should drop out”. The truth of the matter if the Democratic Party really wanted this primary season and nomination to be fair they would moved to resolve the situations is Florida and Michigan.

As Florida Democrat and veteran who voted in January, only because the Republican legislature felt to change our primary date, wants her vote counted. If the Democratic Party wanted our loyalty they would let our delegates be seated and our popular vote added. Then the race is not a runaway for Obama. As for Michigan, it was their own state Democratic Party that changes the date and a revote should be considered.

This article shows the bias and hateful rhetoric that should not be used in true and factual journalism.

Open your eyes and see this for what it really is, an attempt by uninformed person to negatively impact others. The author of the article, Mr. Cooper, should take the time to interview Democrats that have an idea about what is really going on.

  174. Mom Says:

Buy black crepe for democrats if O-bam-bam wins the nod.

  175. Jim R Says:

“The author of the article, Mr. Cooper, should take the time to interview Democrats that have an idea about what is really going on.”

I think he has now Sharon. Now he really knows whats going on.

  176. Goforit Says:

I agree with Sharon. Why don’t I hear more said about the Florida and Michigan vote? All I hear from Obama supporters is how Hillary can’t win. If ALL VOTES were counted (and I can’t imagine the Democratic party being that stupid not to count them) she would be ahead.

Obama is to blame for his resistance to count every vote. Stay strong, Hillary, I will be voting here in Kentucky very soon.

  177. Woody Says:

You don’t count Florida or Michigan because all the players weren’t on the field. You can’t assume that Hillary Clinton would have won these states had there been active competition from the other candidates. Stick with the rules agreed upon at the beginning of the game by all teams.
