My Usual Thanksgiving Post
I’m big on tradition. On this traditional holiday, this is my traditional blog post.
We begin this holiday season with a Hat Tip and a Clink of Glasses to the dear, deaparted Dr. Gonzo: “It is all well and good for children and acid freaks to still believe in Santa Claus — but it is still a profoundly morbid day for us working professionals. It is unsettling to know that one out of every twenty people you meet on Xmas will be dead this time next year… Some people can accept this, and some can’t. That is why God made whiskey, and also why Wild Turkey comes in $300 shaped canisters during most of the Christmas season.”

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Marc. And, to the marccooper.com (I’ll get used to Dissonance eventually) community. Be well, people, and have a great holiday.

All political junkies should gather round, read Better Than Sex then get out their revolvers.

Belated happy Thanksgiving to all. I didn’t turn on the computer all day (a non-activity I recommend). I did watch two films: Il Divo, a stunning film about Guilio Andreotti, the horridly corrupt Italian politician and Don’t Move, featurning ann-consuming performance by Penélope Cruz.

Anna,
Jorge Muñoz does his good work in my neighborhood. He’s a living saint.

Wow, Randy. Small world and all that. People like Jorge put everything into perspective.
Thanks for the tip on the two films normally I see EVERYTHING. But haven’t gone to a film since There Will Be Blood. Will go see A Serious Man probably Sunday…I remember Thanksgivings in LA meant tearing out to see every good film that opened but that was back when Westwood was the the place.

I saw Office Space this weekend.
It holds up.
I love that Mike Judge.
