New Blog

Please check out and bookmark the new blog WitnessLA put up by ace-reporter and my pal Celeste Fremon (aka Rosedog). Disclosure: The project is supported by the Annenberg Institute for Justice and Journalism where I am associate director. But that shouldn't stop you.

Just a little experimental suggestion for you pseudo lefties: Get your friends at Air America
( if it’s still in business) to host the Republican Primary Debates. Inquisitors might include Franken, Bill Maher, Huffington and Farrakan.

Let me know how many of the Christo-fascists
    accept the invitation.

  2. richard locicero Says:

Nice to see Rosedog’s work. Missed her on this site.

  3. reg Says:

Me too. I don’t know shit about LA and it’s pretty far down on my list, but I’ll check in on her blog because she’ll bring enough context to make it matter. How come she doesn’t seem to like us much anymore ? Hope it’s because she’s doing incredibly well and just doesn’t have the time.

  4. rosedog Says:

Hey, reg. I already said hi to Richard when he came down to my blog. I also told him what a great team you and he are at BeautifulHorizons. You really should take this show on the road. It’s good stuff.

I miss y’all, but I’ve been stupidly busy and didn’t feel very coherent when I looked in. so have mostly lurked.

Once I get the hang of this blogging thing of my own, I’ll try to speak up more here.

In the meantime, apropos of nothing in particular, except that I generally seem to like your taste in music, if you haven’t listened to the new Lucinda Williams album, West, if you like her at all, I suspect you’d really like this. I just got it in the mail today.

(Not one’s usual blogging fare, but there you have it.)

  5. reg Says:

Thanks. I’ll definitely keep tabs on your LA blog. Filling in for Randy was fun – I think my thoughts there are more productive and coherent than my outrage-mongering and cheap shots in Marc’s comments. Glad he wants to keep us on and I think it’s a neat nest for us. Plus, we checked it out and the domain shamelessdemhacks.com isn’t available. Haven’t picked up that Lucinda W disc yet, but thanks for the heads up. She’s terrific. There’s so little new stuff I like these days…

  6. Randy Paul Says:

Let me second what Rosedog and reg said and add that I’m glad that reg and Richard are going to continue. There are times when I feel like I’m phoning it in just to keep something on the site and I also don’t much care to write about Iraq as so many people do it – and do it better than I do – leaving me to focus on Latam, hr issues and the other areas I like to cover.

I’ll be sure to check your blog out rosedog and add it to the blogroll. As I said a couple of years ago, anyone who has the good taste to visit Kalispell, MT on a regular basis is aces in my book ;-)

  7. richard locicero Says:

Actually I was holding out for “DemocraticShills” but Reg has no poetry in him!

  8. rosedog Says:

So sorry for your loss of ShamelessDemHacks. But, on the other hand, it just so happens DemocraticShills.com IS available. (and .net and .org)

I say go for it!!! It’s a sign!

Thanks, Randy. I was too tired last night after launching the thing to get my blogroll up. That’ll likely happen this weekend. But you’ll assuredly be on it.

My real fear is that, after three months of running a blog I’m going to retreat in exhaustion to Kalispell (or, more specifically, to West Glacier).

  9. reg Says:

We hacks have a measure of self-respect that is totally lacking in the shills…

  10. rosedog Says:

    Point taken.

    With this in mind.

  11. rosedog Says:

rats. That didn’t get you to the search. The point of the link was….

    ShamelessDemHacks IS available. Ahha!

(Another sign. I’m sure of it.)

  12. Woody Says:

reg, PsychoLeftWingCondescendingDumbAsses.com is available for you and Randy. rlc is excluded for the time being. A sure sign!

  13. richard locicero Says:

Gee Woody. What did I do to deserve exclusion!

  14. reg Says:

    Not condescending enough…

  15. Randy Paul Says:

    Woody remains a little boy.

  16. Woody Says:

I see that Marc Cooper re-did his “Friends & Favorites” list in the left margin leaving out Beautiful Horizons and G.M.’s Corner–after all that we did to make him what he is today.

  17. Woody Says:

P.S. Randy, nice picture on your link. Most of us quit doing that in the fifth grade. Nice clothes, too. Goes well with your cross-dressing.

  18. Randy Paul Says:

    Woody,

To have gone back to my July 2005 archives means only one thing: you’re obsessed. As for the clothing, well everyone knows I’m married, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see women’s clothes hanging in a place where a woman lives with her husband.

BTW, you’re putting Marc in the position of stealing my bandwidth, something I’m sure he has no intention of doing. If you want to be honest for once, Woodrow, perhaps you should show the original post here.

Also, if you used your brain, you would realize that what Marc has listed as “Friends and Favorites” is in fact what used to be his link for columns by him. Simply passing your cursor over the links wold have clued you in. Demonstrating your own cluelessness has become an art for you.

  19. Woody Says:

Oh, Randy. You’re such a little boy.

  20. Randy Paul Says:

    [BIG YAWN]

  21. richard locicero Says:

In the spirit of Rosedog’s new blog “Can’t we all just get along?”
